Jasmine Petal from two leaves and a bud
76

I’m not usually a big green tea drinker, but this one is quite nice. I found this one at T.J.Maxx for 3 bucks marked down. I buy a lot of my teas that way. What I like about this tea is while it smells and tastes of jasmine, its not overpowering. A&D’s jasmine was way too much jasmine for me. This tea is relaxing and just a little sweet. I get just a little bitterness towards the bottom of the cup but not too much. This is not a tea I would purchase at full price but for the price I payed a good bargain.
The second steep of this tea actually tastes better than the first. No bitterness at all.

TOTALLY off subject, but when we were having the book club discussion I remembered you like Pillars of the Earth and when the TV series showed up on the Netflix instant watch, I suggested we watch it – and now we are HOOKED! Once I finish watching the show, I am definitely going to read the book. Thank you for putting it on my radar!

The funny thing is that the TV series is actually following the book. Some things they leave out but its close.

There is also a sequel “World Without End” that takes place 200 years later with the same families. Both books are a long read, over 1000 pages each.

I can’t wait to read all the details in the books – I do usually read the book first but it this case it happened all backwards Many times a visual adaptation makes me go reread the books – I have a awful cycle where I read Lord of the Rings, which makes me want to see the films again, which makes me want to read he book again, and I repeat the cycle again and again!

I will check out World Without End too! Thank you!

I am evolving as a tea drinker. I drank coffee until 2 years ago and my tea drinking was consigned to tea bags. I started drinking tea when I was in Hawaii for 4 months. I drank tea, exercised, ate right and followed the directions of my son who is a body builder. I lost 70 pounds. I am keeping up my good habits which include drinking tea. I am healthier, happier, and look forwards to trying different kinds of teas and seeing all that I have missed during the last 6 decades.
