This has a buttery rum flavor. I didn’t really pick up on the caramel but I am satisfied with the rum. It was actually a really nice evening tea with a friend. I was able to get two steepings from this because the flavor was so strong and just let it steep extra long while we drank the first batch.
Wow, this tastes exactly as described. I taste the pear and cranberry. Its a little sweet and tart at the same time. I think I oversteeped it a little bit, so I added some sugar. Its like warm juice or cider. I don’t think this is something I would stock but I’m glad I got to try it. Also, I bet this would be great iced. Thanks Jackie T for the sample.
I always enjoy trying Earl Grey & Cream Earl Grey blends. DT’s variety does not disappoint, it is very similar to Teavana’s Cream Earl Grey.
A mild bergamot flavor along with heavy does of creamy vanilla. I would recommend this if you are already placing an order with DAVIDsTEA. Thanks to Stephanie for letting me try this out.
I love cinnamon. This is pure cinnamon with a tiny bit of black tea flavor. I’m completely fine with that. haha. As long as you grab this knowing what you’re in for. That being said, I think its delicious. I could see myself craving this one. Thanks Jackie T! This has been on my wishlist to try for ages now.
After having so many well flavored teas, you get really disappointed when a tea doesn’t come through. Maybe I’m getting spoiled from all the great companies and their quality of flavors.
This is a robust black tea and gave me some well needed caffeine this morning. Just not getting any maple or vanilla notes.
I have limited experience with Rooibos teas but this one is especially good. This has overall great flavor. I’m a fan of maple flavored things in general – cookies, candy, etc. So maybe I’m partial for that reason.
I used a splash of milk and really brought it together for me. Its like a maple latte. So tasty. Thanks once again Jackie T, I’m just starting to try out all these great dessert teas you sent my way :-)
Oh Wow! I’ve wanted to try this one for awhile now. Dry this has a rich cake and sugar smell along with cute little sprinkles floating around in the mix.
After I steep it, I lose that sweet smell but I smell the black tea base quite a bit. Upon the first taste though, this is a like marshmellow heaven :-) I don’t really taste the caramel but that’s ok. I like the vanilla marshmellow flavor. These dessert teas are killer. So good. Thanks Jackie T.
Yesterday was an epic tea arrival day – several swaps arrived. I had to add all the tea swaps to my cupboard to keep track of what I already have samples of! haha. A serious sipdown is in order this Easter weekend.
This is the first one I’m trying from my awesome swap with Jackie T. This tea is such a treat! You can taste the maple, buttery and bakery flavors. I’ve only had one other 52Teas (Gooey ButterCake) and I like this one a lot more. It is more sincere to the name. I did a nice long steep with this and it did not become bitter at all. I added a little sugar, couldn’t help myself. Yum! Thanks again Jackie :-)
My very own 4oz of Laoshan Black arrived today. No more rationing my swap samples. haha. I did a nice long steep for my first cup, just to see how it would turn out. Tastes like dark chocolate and brownies. Still several steeps to follow. Thanks Verdant for shipping my order so quickly.
Wine flavored tea! How cool is that? So in some ways I don’t taste chardonnay – there are some spices going on here that are different from a typical chardonnay. That being said, this tea is absolutely delicious. It is rich, complex and sophisticated. You swish it around and taste something different with every sip. So I guess in a way, it is a lot like wine. I do taste tart grapes, along with delicious papaya. This tea is has a nice density and beautiful light color. I would recommend this one because it is so different and is very much an experience. Although, this doesn’t come across as Chardonnay, I rate it high because it is so enjoyable. Thanks Azzrian, you’ve opened my mind to a new tea once again.
