I got excited when I saw this sitting in my teacher’s tea basket. She was excited that I wanted to try it. So, after several attempts of taking a drink (and burning myself) I finally got a taste.

First, it doesn’t really taste like much. It tastes a little peppery to me. Not bad but not something that I would drink all the time.

Second, this tea smells like bacon. I swear it does. One of my classmates sat down from me and asked where the bacon was so I wasn’t the only one.

Overall, it isn’t something I would drink all of the time but it was interesting to try.

This is my mom’s favorite tea and I was happy to see it in my school’s cafeteria. I remember trying it before when I was little and hating it because it wasn’t sweet enough. So, I decided to try it again.

Now, my mom doesn’t really like gingerbread but this is what the tea reminded me of. Fresh baked gingerbread. It wasn’t bad, and I actually drank it a few times. I actually like it best when I brew it together with Twining’s English Breakfast.

Well, it has been a long time since I have written a note. My English teacher loves tea and she keeps a very well stocked basket of teas. I found this review on an index card with my notes with a note on it to put on here after class. Well, that didn’t work but I remember writing the note! Here is what it said:

faint carmelly taste
probably needs sugar to bring out more of the sweetness
drank hot
would make a better sweet tea, not desert tea

I remember not being very impressed with it but I may take a bag to try it out as a sweet tea sometime during the weekend. My teacher keeps her room open and urges us to come and relax in the room. And I have two reading days coming up so I will probably be making this tea again to try as a sweet tea. As much as I love the school’s normal sweet tea, I need more variety.

So, I’m finally getting around to writing about this tea. I find it a very light Earl Grey but I like it a lot better than Stash’s Earl. It is very nice to drink before bed and at any time of the day really. I bet this would taste a lot better if I didn’t have to estimate steeping time but I have been rushing at college recently. Maybe next time I’ll be able to slow down and actually enjoy a cup of tea.

Yummy. After putting up with a no-name tea with coffee creamer at work, this is fantastic with a little bit of milk. It is a bit of a balance to find because if I put too much milk in it then I dilute the flavor but I find the flavor to be lacking with no milk in it at all.

I figured out how I like drinking this.

Two teabags for about 4-6 minutes, a half a mug of water, and fill the rest with milk. It isn’t my favorite tea so far but I have apparently been on a kick because it is now all gone.

After a dirty cup ruined my first cup of tea this morning, I’m making another one. This time I am making it strong and adding a little bit of milk to see if that improves the flavor or not. I have 20 bags worth of this stuff, I have to experiment with it to see if I can make it pleasant or to see if I shouldn’t buy it again.

Edit: The longer brew made the flavor a little stronger and the milk helped cut any bitterness in two. I am just not impressed with this Earl at all. I would much rather Twining’s Earl. Worse comes to worse, I’ll just pitch the teabags at the end of the summer. I will have to see how long it lasts.

I wanted a nice warm drink before going to bed but I know that if I drink a stronger black tea I will stay up a little later than I mean to. (Still have to go to work in the morning.) So, brew it weak, put milk in it, and out comes an instant cup of comfort that will actually help me get to sleep. For some reason this type of tea really helps me relax.

I like Steepster, but I find that I come and go as I please. I might spend months on here and then disappear for no apparent reason. It depends on how busy my life is.

I have been moving solidly into the loose leaf tea territory lately and loving it. I have a french press I like brewing my teas in and I have all of my teas straight with no additions the first time I try it.

I like to try everything and I am starting to like everything. I love black tea, green tea, white tea, oolong tea, yerba mate,and honeybush. I’m still not the biggest fan of roobios, but that is probably because I haven’t found the right brand yet.
