I got this as a sample with my order. It’s a high elevation tea, and reminds me of other Chinese green teas with a slight toasty flavor to it.

For this tea, you for sure need 2 teaspoon per 6 oz. I feel the tea has the mouth feel of white tea, must be a spring harvest? Also has the chestnut flavor note a Dragonwell would have.

I am glad I tried it, medium flavor level with levels of flavor. Just a wonderful late fall tea, reminds me of the smell of fallen leaves with the slight toasty flavor…YUM!

I was super super excited about this tea! The look of it is nothing like any other tea I’ve seen. I saw other reviewers say notes of butter and vegetal, and I was SOLD.

I didn’t get that with my sample. I used 15 leaves for 6 oz of water, brewed at 175ishF for 3 minutes. I wasn’t blown away, the flavor was just one note green tea. I don’t know if the 2016 harvest is different, but I didn’t get what others here reviewed about. I will change my review after I attempt to brew the rest of my sample. I just wasn’t impressed, and was left disappointed. I do love almost all of what I have ordered from Teavivre….just spent $90 yesterday. But this tea just wasn’t my favorite, maybe I have to adjust brewing time or more leaves?

This tea is perfection! I ordered this as my free sample, and I am addicted. It’s so lush. It’s like a well balanced white wine with it’s level of flavors. Peachy, buttery, and like the other two reviewers said, oats and hay are lightly present. Just a lovely cuppa tea! I want more….right meow!

I drank this hot, but after I have rebrewed it (which was just as tasty), I am thinking a cold brew (third brew) will be swell. I am wondering if there’s a tea like this out there with this same flavor. Just don’t want to have this be a special occasion tea! Teavivre, you did well with this one!

This was a little to smoky and aged for my preference. It was nice to have as a sample, but it’s not in my spectrum of what I would drink on a regular basis.

I usually go to Irish or Scottish Breakfast tea blends, since I like strong Assam leaning. This is an original blend, with them adding Darjeeling in the mix. I feel it needs no cream or sugar, as it’s not as astringent as some, which when I rate, I add to the score. It’s around medium level of astringency. I don’t know yet if it stands out enough for me to purchase again. I might have to re-review it if I make it into an iced tea.

This is a medium strong strength of black tea. It’s just a tad backed off from being brisk. It’s been my morning and mid morning tea off and on lately since I bought it. It has an awesome lingering taste. Once it cools, it really starts to get depth in flavor. I haven’t tried it iced, but I have a feeling this would be excellent iced.

I usually buy Ceylon tea in bulk at my local Middle Eastern tea, and adore it for making chai. I really love Golden Moon’s Sinharaja, and this tea is like it but still different. This tea is just a tad lighter. I wonder if the higher altitude has this effect on the tea, almost giving it just a kiss of Darjeeling mile high honey.

I am drinking this while I am rating it, and kept bumping up the rating!

This flavor has been my go to for morning iced tea. It’s just brilliantly flavored. It’s brews into a lush deep orange. The tea base of a Ceylon tea is quite tasty. It’s brisk with no sharp astringency. It doesn’t need sugar to enjoy. It actually seems to be on the sweet side.
It is a seasonal tea, usually comes back in May. I usually buy 1/2 pound.

This tea could be for made for some wicked alcoholic drinks! Mojito?

It’s great to drink on a dull winter day.

I bought this, since I was missing an afternoon tea shop I visited in Denver. There I had brisk, lush Scottish Breakfast. I thought this tea would fulfill some of that feeling.

Maybe it’s going from loose leaf to bagged, but this tea was just blah to me. Just astringent and one note. I only had one cup, and decided to use the rest of the tea to make for kombucha.

For a bagged tea, it’ll do. I think I would prefer other “grocery store” British blends to this.

I thought I liked the sample in their Chicago store, but after trying to drink it at home, this tea just didn’t grow on me. This style of tea is blended for a certain part of Germany , it’s traditionally served with heavy cream and maybe sugar I think. I started drinking tea to avoid using additional calories. This tea NEEDS something, it’s so astringent.
