Yum! This tea was great today! I steeped it at green tea temps and it was vanilla heaven. I couldn’t stop sipping on it. Half way through the cup, I added a bit of the rock sugar I purchased in Germany. The caramel flavor really popped! I think I like it both sweet and not sweet. Awesome!

In the future I’ll have to remember to use a lower steep temperature.

Is that the key? Now that I have a snazzy variable temp kettle I’ll have to give it a shot!

@ Uniquity – which one did you get?

Uniquity, congrats on the new kettle! I test water temps by sticking my finger in the water. (I have clean fingers, I swear.) Needless to say, I’m a bit envious. :) Try the lower temp and let me know how it goes! Do it for science!

I have only had this in pyramid bags but i like it!

Mine’s nothing fancy – It’s a $40 Sunbeam, though I think they are being discontinued. My Dad and Brothers gave it to me for Christmas. I was considering getting myself the Black and Decker variable temp kettle, that one was only $50.

I have a presto variable kettle that was 30 I love it.

I came from a tea drinking family, but I never appreciated the different qualities and varieties of tea until older. All that time wasted! But I guess I needed to be mature enough to appreciate the tea experience. :)

My favorite teas are green oolongs and white tea. I also love greens, especially gyokuro. I have a huge appreciation for rooibos and honeybush as they are often that only thing I can drink in the evening. I am a relatively new convert to black teas. This is unfortunate for my wallet but extremely wonderful for my palate. :)

In any case, I have a love for both flavored and unflavored teas. They are different experiences for sure, but both enjoyable. I find that it often depends on my mood.

I am on a quest to find a tea that will win my husband over. I think I’m making some headway…
