It probably wouldn’t be a bad tea if I didn’t expect chocolate and hazelnut. The chocolate flavor had a fake quality to it and the hazelnut is barely present. It’s really like a slightly aromatic black tea. It’s ok with milk and sugar but it did not meet expectations.

I love a good strong peppermint flavor. This really works for that. The longer it steeps, the more menthol-y it gets. good stuff. I think Twinnings does a strong peppermint, but this one is nearly as good and less costly. I’m all for it. I wish I had some right now…

I actually really enjoyed this tea before I developed my caffeine sensitivity. I always had it with milk and sugar. There are few, if any, black teas that doesn’t taste better with milk and sugar.

Tastes like how dried grass smells but less refreshing and sweet. There’s barely flavor. I see why green tea isn’t more popular if this is the stuff people drink and think is green tea. blech. I think that if this was my first green tea, I wouldn’t be the tea drinker I am today.

I just wasn’t happy with this tea. The chocolate flavor was so artificial and the nutty flavor was barely there. The leaves tasted stale. There was an after taste that usually accompanies black teas, but this one was cloying. Does someone want to come take this off my hands?

Could the spice be stronger in this? Too much black tea flavor and not enough spiciness.

drank Lipton Black Tea by Lipton

Not the worst drink ever, but definitely the worst tea ever (medicinal teas aside). I used to drink this but then had a bag of english breakfast and it was all downhill from there. I guess my taste has evolved beyond lipton. I can’t even drink it with sugar. Somehow sugar just enhances this odd lingering flavor. blech. weak and crappy tasting.

It’s pretty ok. I generally don’t like hibiscus teas because the sour flavor is so intense when hot, and I usually think of tea as a hot drink. And for my cold brewed teas, I usually like a green or oolong, but I imagine this would be good cold with sugar and some slices of orange floating in it.

Bio

I came from a tea drinking family, but I never appreciated the different qualities and varieties of tea until older. All that time wasted! But I guess I needed to be mature enough to appreciate the tea experience. :)

My favorite teas are green oolongs and white tea. I also love greens, especially gyokuro. I have a huge appreciation for rooibos and honeybush as they are often that only thing I can drink in the evening. I am a relatively new convert to black teas. This is unfortunate for my wallet but extremely wonderful for my palate. :)

In any case, I have a love for both flavored and unflavored teas. They are different experiences for sure, but both enjoyable. I find that it often depends on my mood.

I am on a quest to find a tea that will win my husband over. I think I’m making some headway…
