3 Tasting Notes

I’m glad I had purchased the Fall Collection tea set rather than buy this tea individually (as I would’ve bought a large amount). I don’t know what I was expecting from this tea before I brewed a cup, but the first cup wasn’t so great. It was a bit bitter and didn’t smell at all marshmallowy. Could be because I didn’t time how long the tea steeped for and was probably in the water longer than it should have been.

I’m now brewing a proper cup of this tea, and it smells toasty. I’m waiting for the tea is cool slightly so I can take a sip without burning my mouth…ok. Just took a few sips and have to say that this cup is definitely much, much, MUCH better than the first! Definitely a tea that can’t steep for too long! I can’t taste anything marshmallowy, the allspice really shines through. But it’s still a tasty tea!

I bought this on impulse as it was already packaged up and sitting by the register. It smells absolutely divine – very minty and chocolately. Other tea lovers were right, it smells like an After Eight! I love my mint teas to be really minty, so I’ll admit that I was a bit hesitant about the peppercorns. Well, upon drinking this tea, you definitely get the mint flavour, and a very subtle chocolate flavour. The peppercorns come in on the after taste. Very nice all around. An added bonus: you don’t need to add any sweetener!!

This one is definitely a tea that I plan to have in the cupboard at all times!
