A huge thank you to CelebriTEA for including this in the Turkey Gift swap gift to me!

I just got home. It’s 2:00am, and I’ve been drinking. So, I turn to tea to re-hydrate and make me feel a bit less tipsy, because it was one of those nights. You know, the one where you’re laughing so much your cheeks hurt, you feel loved and appreciated by new, dear friends, and where you’re kicked out of not one, but two establishments for lingering so late.

This was the first decaf tea I came across as I logged everything CelebriTEA sent (in her third package! holy moly gal, you really do swaps with style!), and it was on my shopping list for 52Teas, so this was great timing.

I missing getting a whiff before I steeped it, and after steeping it just smelled like honeybush. My first few sips were uneventful, so I added some Truvia to the mix. Yep, that amped things up a bit. Something sweet in there, like… candied ginger…. maybe? Really, I’m just getting a sweet honeybush – which I like, and is nice, however I’m missing the pumpkin and cheesecake entirely.

I’ll try this again when it’s cooled as I made a litre; I find many of Frank’s blends better after they’re lukewarm or iced.

Next time you try it warm, add a lil packet of truvia and a spot of cream.
My favorite with it is eggnog creamer….mmmmm…YUM!

What a wonderful evening by the sounds of it! I love those nights where the laughter is so abundant you feel like your abs and cheeks had a work out. This tea note made me giggle because I can picture you coming home and thinking “Tea” followed by “Must log this on Steepster.”

A few years ago, the obsession with tea started. The cupboard got bigger and bigger, more swaps occurred, group buys, secret rendezvous with local teapassionistas… and that’s how you end up with 500+ different kinds of tea in your home. At one time.

Almost all of the tea was given away, sold, or otherwise shared. A few relics still remain. I now travel full time with only two carryon bags to my name. One quarter of those bags are tea.

It’s still a challenge to avoid the chipmunk-like hoarding of The Teas, yet, the lightness of being from having so little compels me more.

If I have enough, I’m happy to share. If I’m in your area, I’d love to swap, meet for tea, and explore together.

As for the day-to-day stuff, I’m focused almost entirely on Love, (yes, with a capital L), Spirit/Self, transformation, travel and my writing and speaking work.

What kinds of teas do I normally like?

YES: flavored teas, fruity, dessert, chai, and spicy (REALLY spicy).

A FONDNESS FOR: all white teas, malty black teas, any herbal or medicinal teas, strange/weird teas you can only get in one place.

ALLERGIC TO: strawberries, lavender

DISLIKES: any added sugars, grains, lapsang souchong, and overly floral teas – I might enjoy a Jasmine Green every once in a while, but unless it’s a creamy floral tea (think roses in a chai, or the smoothness of a floral note in a French tea), I’ll likely pass. Earl Greys are a hit or miss with me; heavy on the cream or fruit notes and I might like it, heavy on the blergamot and I definitely won’t.
