Well, I accidentally steeped this for over 20 minutes, so… it tastes like medicine. Pills. Yea… not going to rate it, because it’s definitely user error. Bah!

Thanks though Suziqzer, this definitely has my name all over it! :) I love me some herbal tea.

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 8 min or more 3 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML
Suziqzer

Lol.. I’ve done that too many times myself. Hope it’s better next time!

Light, lovely and fruity. I don’t know if I’ll go out of my way to get this in the future, however it’s a lovely, light blend that’s very flavorful and delicious.

Kinda, sorta surprised I had to add this Steepster. Isn’t this a novel idea, a white chai? I’d think Steepsterites would jump on it!

Anyway. I added it, because I’m drinking it, thanks to a lovely surprise gift from Suziqzer. It’s a light, creamy blend, with a kick of spice from the red peppercorns, I believe. It’s a nice blend, a bit surprising really, as I’d never considered using a white for a chai… didn’t think the tea could hold up such bold flavors. I do like it though!

Hm. Liked this one less than I remember (loving it), however it was still gone before I realized it. I’ve got it on my wishlist in case I ever make another H&S order.

drank Premium Chai by Butiki Teas

I loved this sample so much that I ordered a whack of it, and while it’s still creamy and delicious just straight, it’s not as…. amazing? as I remember it to be. Still really, really tasty though!

drank Almond Dream by Souvia

Hm. Oversteeping = more apple, less apple crumble. Boo me. I’ll know for next time.

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 2 min, 0 sec 2 tsp 12 OZ / 354 ML
Suziqzer

Oops… Over steeping happens too often for me too. Too many distractions at home!

drank Chai Spice by Verdant Tea

A lovely blend of spices to make an unusual yet very pleasant cup of chai. Interestingly, there are goji berries in this, which aren’t listed in the ingredients list here. Odd.

drank Pink Lemonade by DAVIDsTEA
1500 tasting notes

Bah. I should know better than to buy iced teas from DAVIDs anymore.. I’ve yet to be pleased with these blends. Regardless, I bought it, made it for my kids, and they had a few glasses before refusing to have any more. So… I had a glass tonight. Yep, I get it. It’s super hibiscus tart unless you over-sweeten it, and there’s little else to it.

Preparation
Iced 8 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML
Suziqzer

Bummer..

Nxtdoor

I too have regrets about having bought this one. We bought 50 gr last year around this time (I know because it was Pride weekend) and we still have a couple of cups left to finish off.

drank Choc Chip Chai by T2

This smells strongly of cardamom, and tastes mostly of it as well. While I like cardamom, it makes the tea too drying for me, way too drying. Zero chocolate as well, which really blows considering T2’s other flavored blends are quite yummy.

As I may have mixed this poorly before steeping, I’ll try again and leave the rating off for now.

Bio

A few years ago, the obsession with tea started. The cupboard got bigger and bigger, more swaps occurred, group buys, secret rendezvous with local teapassionistas… and that’s how you end up with 500+ different kinds of tea in your home. At one time.

Almost all of the tea was given away, sold, or otherwise shared. A few relics still remain. I now travel full time with only two carryon bags to my name. One quarter of those bags are tea.

It’s still a challenge to avoid the chipmunk-like hoarding of The Teas, yet, the lightness of being from having so little compels me more.

If I have enough, I’m happy to share. If I’m in your area, I’d love to swap, meet for tea, and explore together.

As for the day-to-day stuff, I’m focused almost entirely on Love, (yes, with a capital L), Spirit/Self, transformation, travel and my writing and speaking work.

What kinds of teas do I normally like?

YES: flavored teas, fruity, dessert, chai, and spicy (REALLY spicy).

A FONDNESS FOR: all white teas, malty black teas, any herbal or medicinal teas, strange/weird teas you can only get in one place.

ALLERGIC TO: strawberries, lavender

DISLIKES: any added sugars, grains, lapsang souchong, and overly floral teas – I might enjoy a Jasmine Green every once in a while, but unless it’s a creamy floral tea (think roses in a chai, or the smoothness of a floral note in a French tea), I’ll likely pass. Earl Greys are a hit or miss with me; heavy on the cream or fruit notes and I might like it, heavy on the blergamot and I definitely won’t.
