332 Tasting Notes
Holidays TTB #1: This may be a weird one to start with, but it just stood out so much. I really love lapsang souchong, and the thought of these other flavors mixed with it was really interesting.
The smokiness seemed to be covered up by the other flavors. The hibiscus was also mellowed out and not really tart at all. Maybe the marshmallow root just calmed everything else down? I wasn’t super into the flavor of this, but I’m happy I tried it.
I’ve been scared of trying this one for a while now, I had a bad experience with yerba mate in the past. But this smelled so good when it was steeping. And, while it didn’t taste like chocolate to me, it was still really good. I got more of a toasted honey flavor honestly. This experience makes me curious to venture more into this side of tea
Finishing this one off today. I’m having a better time with it than I’ve had previously. I can get a chocolate flavor, some creamy sweetness, and a tangy aftertaste but I definitely wouldn’t place the flavors as pumpkin or cheesecake. This is an enjoyable tea, but I just don’t think it lives up to the name
