drank Maple Pecan Oolong by Butiki Teas
2199 tasting notes

I had such high hopes for this tea! Sadly, as it cools (and I had it in a thin cup today and not a travel mug) it gets that bitter nut skin taste I really dislike. Boo.

When hot, this tea is quite good. It’s not the ‘maple tea of my dreams’ as the maple flavour is quite subtle, but it is delicious. A little mapley, a little nutty, the oolong base is quite tasty too.

(I’ve mostly stopped reviewing teas here, and also mostly stopped drinking tea. :( )

Black teas are my favourite, although I do drink the occasional green tea. I am exploring herbal and fruity teas for summer icing and winter evenings, and oolong and pu erh are new and exciting… although I do not like a tea that tastes mostly of seaweed.

Also: A map of tea places in Vancouver. I’ve been to some of them, but not a lot. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
