drank Strawberry Oolong by Butiki Teas
1361 tasting notes

I abused this tea horribly today by steeping it in a paper tea bag, with randomly poured hot and cold water. Still. It was really, REALLY good. I refilled 3 times.

The flavour is fresh, creamy, and delicate. I didn’t get a tonne of strawberry flavour out of this oolong, but there was enough I knew I was drinking a strawberry tea. I think it’d come out more if I steeped it properly, and definitely if I added a pinch of sugar.

Yummers. Definitely an oolong I can see restocking. For sure. I want more, but it’s bedtime.

Is this oneI got? I think so, but I can’t remember anymore.

Love teas that can take abuse!

Yes, Heather. You did! It’s so delicious just dumped together, I need to try it made properly. :)

Black teas are my favourite, although I do drink the occasional green tea. I am exploring herbal and fruity teas for summer icing and winter evenings, and oolong and pu erh are new and exciting… although I do not like a tea that tastes mostly of seaweed.

No: Spearmint or peppermint, licorice root, gluten (cookie bits, wheat, rye, barley, I’m OK with oats)

After sending my first box to the USA, bubble-envelope swaps are where it’s at.

When I rate, my ratings are based on the little faces, and depend on what face I make when I sip the tea! :)

Also: A map of tea places in Vancouver. I’ve been to some of them, but not a lot. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
