Cold steep! Fruity berry deliciousness!

It’ll be better once it’s sat overnight. 4 hours really isn’t long enough. Still, it’s refreshing and hydrating.

Preparation
9 tsp 85 OZ / 2500 ML
VariaTEA

I gave away all my herbals because of the hibiscus. Then I discovered the wonders of cold brewing and how that changes the flavor and now I am curious as to how they would have tasted if I tried them that way. Is the hibiscus strong in this?

Fjellrev

Hell yeah. Speaking of hydration, are you feeling any better?

OMGsrsly

Umm, I don’t think it’s too strong as a cold steep. But I generally don’t mind hibiscus in my cold steeps. Especially if I keep them under 24 hours.

My lungs are still trying to escape my body. :) Not super fun, but at least the plague is not affecting eating or tea drinking… yet.

Fjellrev

Aww. Bronchitis is a bitch. :(

OMGsrsly

Yep. And I get it almost every year. Whee.

Fjellrev

Yeah, me too. :/

Black teas are my favourite, although I do drink the occasional green tea. I am exploring herbal and fruity teas for summer icing and winter evenings, and oolong and pu erh are new and exciting… although I do not like a tea that tastes mostly of seaweed.

No: Spearmint or peppermint, licorice root, gluten (cookie bits, wheat, rye, barley, I’m OK with oats)

After sending my first box to the USA, bubble-envelope swaps are where it’s at.

When I rate, my ratings are based on the little faces, and depend on what face I make when I sip the tea! :)

Also: A map of tea places in Vancouver. I’ve been to some of them, but not a lot. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
