drank Imperial Keemun by SOKO Tea House
2291 tasting notes

Gave this to my parents today and made a pot for the family to share. It was quite tasty. It says 2 tsp per cup, but I used 4 tsp for a 3 mug tea pot, and it was good. Steeped twice. Left the second steep for about 20 minutes before I finished it, even. Still good.

I prefer teavivre’s keemuns, but this is pretty darn tasty! Mom likes it too. :)

So I’ve opened this to try it, because I feel it’s important to try things.

Meh. It’s minty. It’s rooibos-y. It’s going onto my swap shelf.

Starfevre

I now have an entire swap giant-plastic-container since I thought I was buying one and it turns out I bought 4 (giant-plastic-containers that is). Good luck with your swaps!

OMGsrsly

Thanks. :) I might do a “Take it away!” post in a couple months, once I’ve drunk through my stash a bit more and have settled on my must-haves.

Starfevre

I’m waiting for a tea box to come my way and then I will start swapping seriously.

OMGsrsly

Swapping is fun, but omg does it over expand the cupboard. I am not a master of sipdowns, so I’ve put all tea acquisitions on hold for a bit. :)

Sil

i have a ton of teas that need to find good homes but i haven’t had the energy yet to try and swap/send them away.

TeaLady441

Selling seems to be a decent option too – at least I know I’ve gotten sucked into a few tea sales, and I have no issue with them as both parties win. :)

OMGsrsly

Hmm. You have a point, Cavo.

Hot damn. I love this.

That is something I never thought I’d say about a mint tea.

But this is superb.

I get mint-chocolate, with lavender. It smells in the order of chocolate-lavender-mint, though. The mint is SO fresh. I definitely have different taste buds from MissB, and I do love lavender.

Preparation
Boiling 5 min, 0 sec
MissB

I did grossly oversteep this, however lavender really does make me feel like I’m breaking out into hives when it’s as strong as it is in that brew. I’m so glad you love it!!

OMGsrsly

I think I want more, MissB. Could I buy half the packet off you? It can wait till after your rush at work. :) And if no one else wants it by that point, I might take it all. I’m falling asleep in my chair here! This might be a new favourite night time tea.

OMGsrsly

Oh, I see someone else grabbed it. Boo. Now the hunt begins! :)

oddree

Mint chocolate and lavender sounds AMAZING to me – I’ll have to keep an eye out for that combo, or something similar.

OMGsrsly

If you can get your hands on this one, definitely try it!

Cold steeped over night. Brought to work in a travel mug. Mug just cracked open now.

So delicious. Sweet berry juice. Definitely need to stock up on more of this one for the summer, ESPECIALLY if I can find a nice cold brewing jug (with infuser. and lid.) at a reasonable price. :)

drank Eggnog & Pralines by Butiki Teas

Had this during my morning online meeting.

The tea rocked.

The meeting worked. Yay!

Now to head to work!

(PS. Last night’s re-steep was delicious as well. I’d never thought of creamer in a green tea. Now I know better.)

Preparation
175 °F / 79 °C 2 min, 0 sec
keychange

Haha, I’m of the opinion that you can pretty much put creamer into everything.

OMGsrsly

I’d only every had green tea in restaurants, where you never add anything. So it was different for me! I need to try it with more green teas, because maybe I’d drink them more often. :)

keychange

Oh, I hear you. I hadn’t ever put it in green teas either, but that’s also because I’ve rarely had greens. But I agree that it might make me have them more often if it worked!

With my super odd coconut creamer, this is SO fantastic. The little bit of vanilla I put in the creamer, mixed with the nuts-and-sugar taste of the tea is just divine.

Yum yum yum.

And yes it’s a green. After work I need to drink less black teas for a while, because I’ve been having problems getting to sleep. So one green tea and a bunch of herbaly stuff seems like a good compromise. :) Especially if I can manage to bring 2-3 mugs of tea with me every day.

I will resteep this one a couple times to suck all the deliciousness out of the leaves. :)

Nutmeg Cream, it was good to know you.

Honestly, I’d be happy with a bag of the base blend. So delicious. The nutmeg and cream are just added bonuses. :)

Oh, that’s a cute picture! (It’s 4 white teacups with varying colours of tea on some wooden boards, in case it changes again.)

Tonight I’ve mixed 50/50 Almond Marzipan by Zen Tea, and Creme Brulee by DavidsTea. And I added some of that weird creamer I made… which I’m totally going to make again, but include 1 tbsp maple syrup to make it more like commercial dairy free creamers.

So. Good. It’s dessert in a cup, definitely helped out by the amount of calories in the coconut creamer. :D Yum yum yum.

I brought a mug of this to work today, supplemented with a little maple syrup… which was too sweet. I can’t win! :)

It was delicious, and I greatly enjoyed it. Now I’m at home watching Sherlock and trying to do laundry but someone in my building is a jerk and didn’t even bother leaving a basket. I’m not OK with dumping their clean laundry on the gross floor…

Sounds yummy!

Hazelnuts and strawberries! So good. Interestingly, the only other Hazelnut and strawberry puerh on the internets (in a non-exhaustive search) is by Adiago… Hmm.

Today I’m having this with my coconut-egg creamer of weirdness.

It’s pretty good. Better with regular milk though. Or commercial coconut milk creamer. Mostly because the toffee comes through better.

I need ALL the caffeine. All of it. But not coffee because I had coffee yesterday and my tummy was so angry.

caile

Hopefully this helps you feel better! :-)

OMGsrsly

Moar caffeine… moar! (This is a terrible refrain to have. A late start this morning, and then super early starts the next two days. Oops?)

caile

Ack.. early starts.
