2291 Tasting Notes
This is (a lot of) cinnamon with (some) rooibos. It’s actually really nice treated like a chai, as there’s no honey, nor is there any cracker.
So. Cinnamon Rooibos tea? Y. Very nice with some brown sugar and coconut creamer. I’m not sure I’d order online just for this, but I do have rooibos and cinnamon in my cupboard I can play with.
Whoops! Thanks to Dexter3657 for this!
Preparation
Sorry, that’s what I thought of it too – there are others here who liked it. I don’t think I hated it, just don’t get the name. I’d have more respect if it was just called cinnamon rooibos…
Exactly! I’m glad you sent it though, as a cinnamon-rooibos tea will be LOVELY through the winter. :)
This one’s from Sil.
It’s a nice almond-vanilla tea, but… it’s just not really for me. I like it, but I don’t love it. Right now I think I’d rather have something spicy or earthy, not a liquid dessert. :)
Preparation
Today, with maple syrup.
I had a bit of a ridiculous day today, and now I’m still at work waiting for Science! to finish.
I hope the science works.
(Also, it is SO WRONG to still be at work when the f.lux activates. That’s supposed to be an at home thing!)
Preparation
Thanks so much for sharing some of this precious blend, Sil.
This is licorice root used right. The ginger, the peppercorns, it all works together with the base tea and is remarkably delicious. The licorice root is barely present through the end of the sip.
This is definitely one I’d purchase, if it were available.
Preparation
Finished the dregs of this up today. It has pretty good caramel apple flavour. I do like it. However, there’s not much black tea in here at all. Makes it more of a late afternoon/evening tea.
I would consider adding it to an order, but they’re rather far down my list at this point.
Preparation
So someone decided to add coconut here. Awesome. :)
I had a mug of this as a hot latte this morning. I thought I got the lowest flavour level, but wow there’s a lot of flavour in this. If I use a whole scoop in a 16oz drink, it starts getting a little chemically.. so I usually use half a scoop.
I do like this, but next time (there WILL be a next time!) I’m making 100% sure I get the lowest flavour level. I just don’t need more than that!
Thanks to Dexter3657 for these ones.
I smell sweet maltiness as I wait for the tea to cool to a drinkable temperature.
The flavour is about what I expected. I think these ones are nicer than the ones I got from Tealux, but they aren’t really to my taste. I think I should revisit this style of tea in a year or 6 months to see how my preferences have changed. :)
Preparation
With a couple pieces of chopped up candied ginger and a spoonful of brown sugar, this is nice. I still don’t care for the rooibos, but the rest of it is sweet ginger cake.
Yes, cake. Not gingerbread cookies, but rather gingerbread made with loads of molasses and spices, served warm with something rummy drizzled on top.
