Right, so. I have the coconut flavour. I mixed 1 scoop with 1 cup almond milk, 1/2 frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen pineapple.

This is divine. The colour is still somewhat a horrible murky green, but the flavour and texture is the best so far. Especially in my tiny, cheap blender.

ashmanra

So you used coconut or caramel? I have caramel but I am really interested in the coconut!

OMGsrsly

I have the Coconut flavour, distinctive I think? The coconut flavour isn’t on here, and I didn’t want to make it. :)

Possibly the perfect tea to have today.

I’m sorry for your loss.

gmathis

Goodbyes are very hard. Hope the tea is bringing back good memories.

Veronica

I’m sorry for your loss, but I think it’s wonderful that you are choosing to celebrate your friend’s life.

OMGsrsly

Thank you. There is a glitter-filled, tutu-and-stripey-sock-wearing celebration-of-his-life in the park. I don’t do crowds so well when I’m stressed, so I decided to stay home and drink tea. :) Still wearing my stripey socks…

Fuzzy_Peachkin

Sounds like you found a great way to pay tribute to his memory!

Wow. WOW. This tea is SO good. So incredibly good. I’m drinking it hot, which I must admit is a little odd for root beer. But it works. I can hardly wait to try this cold with some club soda.

I want more. Can I get more? Is it worth the shipping to buy more? Maybe. Or I might be able to wait till Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Or not. Hmm.

Florence, I hardly had a chance to know you.

I’m currently sipping the last 1/4 tsp of this, mixed with Nepal Black (DavidsTea). The chocolate flavour carries. It’s lovely.

I must get more.

Sipdown!

Today is the day to drink all the comforting teas. The fact that this one is a sipdown is just a bonus.

While the components of the tea are good, I’m not convinced about the blend. It might be that I’m not a fan of the base, or I prefer more flavour in a dessert tea, or something else. I’m glad I got to try this one, but for me it’s not a must have.

I swear there was more to this.

Oh, there it is!

Fuzzy_Peachkin

lol. I love your after-commentary! :-)

I used an emoticon and almost everything disappeared! :)

Umm. I didn’t like this. At all. The peachy flavour is overly chemical to me, and it was way way way too sweet.

Of course I’m having a super horrid evening, and I’m also at the airport picking up a friends brother as distraction. So. My experience might be coloured negatively.

Sil

Doubt it…this one is way less delicious than passion tea lemonade"

OMGsrsly

True. I just wanted to try something new.

At least at the airport sbux they have salads and stuff not covered with crackers or croutons, so I was able to eat!

drank Salted Caramel by DAVIDsTEA
2291 tasting notes

I got this one to go earlier tonight. It was incredibly sweet because apparently a “little” honey meant about 1 tbsp to the person who made it. :)

Not bad, though. Very caramelly. I let it steep (well, I lazily left the bag in) about 15 minutes before it started getting icky. I might consider picking some of this up.

Had this tea this morning while listening to a defence. It was tasty, and I enjoyed it. The defence was pretty good, too. :)

I’ve mostly been drinking iced teas this week, the same stuff as usual. I keep trying to get up earlier, or get home earlier so I can prepare and drink more teas, but it hasn’t happened yet. And it probably won’t for a while. I’m so busy at work, and since I can’t have any food or drinks in the lab, my tea consumption has dropped considerably.

drank White Ginger Pear by Tea Forte
2291 tasting notes

I have the iced version: Steep for 5 minutes or longer, 175°F. Flash chill by pouring over ice. (On the box they recommend making 24oz tea and chilling it, then serving cold over ice.)

Surprisingly I actually quite like this one! It’s very pear-y, which is a flavour I generally can’t stand. I mean, pear flavoured jelly beans? Ugh.

I didn’t completely follow the directions for this tea, as I tried a black iced tea the other night and found it to be extremely strong, almost unpleasantly so. I steeped this at about 180F for 5 minutes in 2 cups water, then poured it into a jug that had 4 cups of cold water in it. It’s pretty cool at this point, so I shrugged and poured myself a glass with some ice in it.

Tasty. The flavours are delicate and sweet this way. A bit of warmth from the ginger, I smell vanilla, the pear is actually very sweet and quite lovely. The white tea doesn’t seem horrible either, but I feel it mostly fades into the background.

It doesn’t need sweetener at all, but I decided to add a small spoon of lemony simple syrup. :) Not bad, but I think I’d prefer ginger simple syrup or no sweetener.

Reached for this one again tonight since Cavocorax bought some but wasn’t convinced about my ‘review’. Haha.

This tea is a rooibos. It tastes like a rooibos with stuff in. Iced, it’s incredibly refreshing and hydrating, an I reach for it whenever I have a hot or uncomfortable day, or want to make sure I’m hydrated.

I like the orange peel in it, but honestly I mostly taste the rooibos. Not that I ervr have plain rooibos, but the tea is a bit woody and a little medicinal.

1 heaping tbsp tea, steeped for as long as you like in 1-1.5 cups of water, poured over a bunch of ice.

Ahh.

OMGsrsly

Ervr. A new word I made up. :)

Crowkettle

Good word. :)
