I blend this with Adagio chamomile. It’s so relaxing and such a nice soothing combo. I feel like I may be coming down with a cold or something (tickle in the throat) and this combo, with a heavy squeeze of honey, seems to be doing the trick.

Love this tea. It happens to be my “sign” so it was fun to boot. The tin is lovely, and would make a nice gift. And the tea leaves are also very nice to see. A large volume of lush green tea leaves mixed with dried fruit, and chamomile leaves sprinkled in. There is also a scattering of a bright royal blue; I’m not entirely sure what that is, but it really pops.

The tea itself is very smooth, and relaxing. The aroma is super inviting, and the taste is great. I will definitely repurchase this tea when I run out. But the tin is quite voluminous, and you can steep several glasses from one serving, so that will be a while. :)

I prepared as indicated on the tin (temp. and time).

drank Cherry Green by Adagio Teas

I love a good green tea. I was really excited to try it with a cherry kick. It’s really good, but a little on the sweet side. I tend to like my teas unsweetened, and you definitely do not need to add any form of sweetener to this tea (so if you’re looking for a tea you can enjoy straight, but typically like sugar or honey, this may be your tea!).

I don’t think the cherry flavoring is artificial, but it’s a touch strong in my opinion. I’m happy I tried this tea, but probably won’t repurchase this variety. So far, the Adagio Green Pomegranate is my fave flavored green tea.

drank Cranberry by Adagio Teas

I thought this would be a delightful tea for fall and the holidays. It is. I’m not a HUGE fan of cranberry; if you are, this will probably be even better to you. The flavoring is rather mild, which was good for me. It’s a lovely color and a nice scent. I think it may be good mixed with some spirits as it reminds me of a cosmo. :)

drank Chocolate Chai by Adagio Teas
20 tasting notes

We selected this as our free sample with a recent order from Adagio.
As I added it to my Steepster “cupboard” I noted there is also an Adagio raspberry chocolate chai. I missed that one or probably have picked it (sounds delish!)

But I was pleasantly surprised by a Sat. delivery of my Adagio order. What better treat on a crisp fall day? We decided to try this one first, having not tasted it before.

That said, I’m happy I chose the the chocolate chai. It’s very yummy. It’s low key on the spice as a chai goes; I thought it worked well as the flavor profile was nice with the chocolate. It provides a nice gentle flavor with a heavenly aroma.

drank Weight To Go! by Teavana

It’s a good tea. It’s pretty. :) Not my all time fave. A little too sweetsy for my taste. What I’ve done is blend it with oolong tea (Monkey-Picked Oolong) or a green tea. The combo adds a nice fruity twist.

My steep time and temp are dependent on the tea I blend with, so I didn’t make an adjustment to that end.

This green tea is so delicate and delicious. Since transitioning into tea leaves (vs. tea bags) I have been obsessed wiht mixing different varieties. This morning, craving a green tea, I used this on it’s own. Granted, it has some added flavoring — pomegranate and raspberries, but I love it just on it’s own. It’s very smooth. I can drink cup after cup.

drank Apricot Green by Adagio Teas

Loving this tea. It’s so delicate, with perfect amount of apricot flavor. I added about 1/3 tsp of Teavana Youthberry to it (maybe unneeded) and it’s so delicious. I’m in love!

drank Mocha Nut Mate by Adagio Teas

What a yummy tea. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about a mocha flavored tea. It came in my Adagio Mate Sample pack, so I gave it a try. I really enjoy it. It stands in for coffee. I’ve never been a black coffee drinker (unfortunately I go for the calorie-laden Starbucks drinks). I’m not going to pretend it’s anything like that. But it’s doesn’t purport to be. It’s good of it’s own accord! A mellow twist on a morning cup of joe.

I’ve been trying (successfully!) to cut back on (Starbucks) coffee for all the obvious reasons. I’ll never say I won’t have a cup from time to time, but this will make my quest to cut it from my daily routine quite a lot easier.

I think this may be a regular morning cup of tea for me. It’s so mild that it still has the relaxing “feel” of tea. But the coffee-esque notes and the brisk mate quality give you that pep in your step feeling. I quite like it.

The leaves are certainly nothing of beauty to the eye, like so many teas (imo) but I’m perfectly OK with that!

AND yesterday my teen daughter (coffee hater) said “Mom, what is in the tea basket?” I apologized for failing to warn her, but as it turns out, she liked it too. I’ll have to get more scoop to see how well, as we did give it much discussion from there, but I was suprised.

As a side note, we tend to rebrew our tea baskets. I’ve found with our Teavana teas, we get a good 4-6 brews (for a mug, so 4-6 mugs) for a single basket (prepared per the package directives). We do tend to steep a little longer on those last couple of cups, but manage to get quite a lot from each serving.

I’m not yet sure if this particular tea will last that long. I’m on cup three now and we’re still going strong, so I suspect it will. My other Adagio teas are hit or miss in this regard. Some getting as few as 2-3 cups (e.g., chamomile)(the greens seem to keep on giving).

Happy Saturday TeaMates. So long!

drank Peppermint by Adagio Teas

I’m not a minty tea fan. But my daughter is. It’s reminiscent of the “sleepy” tea from her childhood. This tea, however, is very strong, and very minty, even for a long time minty tea fan. She blended this with Adagio chamomile. It was delicious. I loved it too.

It is super relaxing. The two really compliment one another. For a teen, she has quite the sophisticated palate. This is a wonderful bedtime, unwind from your day combo. I highly endorse!
