351 Tasting Notes
Got this one with my Iherb order so I could reach the free shipping minimum xD
Not sure if I like this one of the Celestial Seasonings version better…
this one reminds me a lot more like chapstick. Not the good flavored kind, but the crappy unflavored kind. That’s what the texture is like…it’s really weird. Maybe that’s Twinning’s version of “vanilla”, because it smelled a lot like a fake vanilla anyway. But its just weird.
It’s definitely a calming tea, and I will definitely drink it all because I need to drink more chamomiles but, wouldn’t ever buy it again, I don’t think. xD
Got a tin of this for pretty cheap in my Iherb order!
So, was expecting a lot more in this tea, but find myself kinda disappointed.
When it was steeping it mainly smelled like wood (as you guys know, I really dislike woody teas).
I ended up over-steeping this one by like a minute or two on accident, But I kinda doubt that that is why it mainly tastes like wood. There was a little malt, but mainly wood taste. :/ Think I will have to try this a couple more times before I decide if I should keep it or not. On the bright side, at least I got it really cheap and I don’t feel like I totally wasted my money! XD
Flavors: Malt, Wood
Thought I’d have this one again since they have a free shipping deal again. Had to see if I needed more. :P This really is a wonderful assam. I really do enjoy it. But I don’t think I need more than 2oz for now. Maybe once I sip these 2oz down I’ll be ready to buy more!
Still a very strong, malty assam. Enjoying this one!!
If you haven’t had it yet and like malty teas-you should definitely take the free shipping offer up now and get some! It’s not super expensive too!
Trying to figure out which teas I should order when I finally put in my last Butiki order. Still sad it’s closing, but glad that we got so much warning so we could stock up on our favorites!
Haven’t had this tea in a while, but figured I needed to try it again to decide whether or not I should order more.
Don’t like it as much as I did at the beginning. Not sure why…doesn’t have as many flavors as it did when I drank it a few months ago. Stupid taste buds changing ><
Now this just tastes a little malty, and that’s really it. Disappointed in my stupid body for changing on me! XD
But at least now I know I can spend more money on other teas haha!
I will enjoy sipping this one down all the same, just not as unique as I used to think it was. So dropping the rating. Still a nice tea (:
Cameron B. was nice enough to send me a sample of this the other day-thanks! :D
This one also seems to be popular, so I had to try.
And honestly,I’m really not all that sure what to think. It’s pretty buttery, and has a lot of vanilla notes in it. It’s like a buttery, vanilla, genmaicha.
Because while the vanilla and buttery notes mainly dominate this tea, I can still taste the toasted rice…It’s very different. Unique.
Not like anything I’ve ever had before.
I’ll have to try it again sometime before I decide if I really like it.
I mean, I really like how it’s like a vanilla genmaicha…just the butter flavors kinda turn me off. I can see myself either really liking this one, or feeling really really sick from the buttery-ness of it. xD I’ll have to rate this one later when I’ve sorted my feelings for this one! Thank you soo much for the sample, Cameron B.! :D
Flavors: Butter, Creamy, Toasted Rice, Vanilla
My new way of trying tea samples is to steep three different ones at once…maybe that’s not the best way of doing it, but it keeps me more focused and distracted from everything else. So that’s just what I do now. XD
Out of the two other teas that were steeping right next to this one, this tea smelled the strongest. It smells incredibly roasty.
The flavor is pretty much the same. Think I’ll enjoy this one more later on when I’m back on my roasty tea kick. xD
Got a sample of this one with my last Verdant order!
I hear a lot about this tea it feels like, so I’m happy to have gotten a sample of it.
The steeping aroma was pretty light and roasty.
The taste was more than just roasty-ness though. There were hints of floral that made it a lot smoother and lighter.
Wasn’t sure I’d like this one since I’m not really drinking a lot of roasty teas lately, but the floral notes really do balance this one out. Not bad at all!
Happy To have tried this one! Thanks for the sample, Verdant! :D
Flavors: Floral, Roasted, Smooth
Really surprised that this one hasn’t been rated yet…Kinda weird.
But this tea smelled a lot like sweet potatoes when it was steeping. Which made me excited. Because I do love a good tea that tastes like sweet potatoes.
The flavor didn’t exactly betray me-but I was definitely not expecting it to get super earthy. It still tasted strongly of sweet potatoes, but the earthiness appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. And i really don’t like teas that are this earthy D:
Disappointed with this one. :( If the earthiness had toned down this would be a great cuppa for me! Perhaps next time I will try steeping it shorter. That might help some. :S
Flavors: Earth, Sweet Potatoes
Got a sample of this from Cameron B.! :D
Have been wanting to try this tea since it’s caramel and chocolate-which is always good in my book. xD
When I first smelled this tea, I thought that maybe the black tea base would overpower the caramel and chocolate flavors. But when I began to drink it, it surprised me! It wasn’t as strong as I hoped, but I could still taste the chocolate and caramel.
Mostly caramel is in the aftertaste.
So not as great as I’d hope, but not horrible. I’ve definitely had worse-haha!
Thanks for the sample though, Cameron B.!
Flavors: Bitter, Caramel, Chocolate
GUESS WHAT YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE FINALLLLLYYY RELEASING THE JURASSIC PARK 4 TRAILER ON THURSDAY!!!!!!!!
I’ve seriously been waiting so long and no one ever actually believed me when I said they were gonna make another one and finally they did and I’m so freakin’ excited!!!!!!!!!!
Now just gotta wait for Child’s Play…
This tea is alright. It’s super buttery and grassy. Much too buttery for me.
Always feels like I get sick after super buttery teas…it’s like too strong for me.
This one reminds me more of a green tea, to be honest. I know a few people who would really love this one, this one just isn’t for me.
I will just have to pass it on to someone who likes buttery and grassy teas!
Thank you to Teavivre for these samples!
Flavors: Butter, Grass, Vegetal
