438 Tasting Notes
So this one of the first teas I fell in love with which wasn’t from Teavana. Don’t drink it as much as I used to, but decided to drink it today. It was still enjoyable. But the rooibos is so much more apparent to me than before. It’s still really sweet and syrup-y, but compared to like DavidsTea’s Birthday Cake it’s just not as good. I will still enjoy finishing this one off, just won’t be a repurchase. Nice for this morning though!
Flavors: Maple Syrup, Sugar, Sweet
Okay…first off..WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON YOU GUYS!?!?!
Literally have seen like 8 different people reviewing WP’s North Winds today-like did I not get the memo that it was official North Winds day? Or like is this a trippy twilight zone moment? I’m so confused…
Was this planned even? This just is weird….
Haven’t been able to drink much tea today because I had a nerve block shot at UCLA, so was out most of the day. By the time I got home, I felt so horrible that all I wanted was a rooibos tea, and this one seemed perfect.
Last time I oversteeped this one, but this time it was spot on! So happy to have this one in my stash finally! Definitely a keeper!:D
Feel like I have heard so much about this company…so I was pretty excited to finally try one of their teas. This one tasted strongly of hay. Not really sweet even, just of hay…
If I were to drink a silver needle, it would definitely not be this one…would probably go for a sweeter one, because that adds a lot for me.
Oh well. Glad I tried. Thanks for the sample, LiberTEAS!
Never had a green tea that tastes like floral before, so this one is a first!
It’s still mostly grassy, but it definitely has floral notes in it. It looks like it could be an oolong because the leaves are wrapped up in little balls, so even though the name had the word “green” in it, it still threw me off a bit. xD
If it had been more floral and less bitter, I’d have liked it more. But always glad to broaden my tea horizons! Thank you, LiberTEAS for the sample! :D
Flavors: Bitter, Floral, Grass
I definitely oversteeped this one. >< Couldn’t find out how long to steep it for though, so I did it for like 4 mins or so. Apparently that was too long, because it turned out REALLY bitter.
I could still taste the vanilla though. It was a deep, and yet kinda fluffy vanilla, kinda like a marshmallow. If I hadn’t oversteeped it, it would have been a wonderful cuppa!
I will have to mess around with it some more till I get it right!
Thank you for the sample, LiberTEAS! I do love to try another vanilla tea!
Flavors: Bitter, Vanilla
Can’t take any pain killers today because of my stupid body deciding that this past weekend has been a great time to be constipated. >> Soo I have to do things to distract me from the all this pain. Drinking tea is a good distraction! So back to sampling all the ones I’ve gotten from swaps over the last few weeks! :D
So thanks to LiberTEAS for a sample of this one! :D
The steeping aroma was pretty woody, which made me kinda skeptical. But the actual taste was decent. Mainly just malt. Not much else. Not as strong as I’d like in an malty assam, but hey! It’s not wood flavored! So it’s fine with me xD
