232 Tasting Notes
I usually like most oolongs, but…this one.
The taste was like a grassy, roasted peanut. I don’t know how else to describe it. xD Usually that kind of combo wouldn’t be that bad-at least it would be drinkable. But I ended up pouring that one. :S
I don’t know-it just didn’t work for me I guess.
Glad I got to try it though-props to Mandy for helping me explore oolongs more, even if I find some I don’t like. xD
Flavors: Grass, Peanut, Roasted
Seriously get so excited when I get to try something from Capital Teas Ltd. Need to get enough samples to make one big order so I can get free shipping! xD That’s the end all goal. :P
Anyway, thanks to the Lovely Mandy for this tea!
The best way to describe this tea is a roasted floral oolong. xD
I haven’t been into roasty oolongs lately, but the floral makes it better for me right now!
Enjoying this one today! (: Thanks, Mandy! You sent SO many oolongs-it’s crazy! Can’t wait to try all of them!
The Cookie Lady gave me this tea for my birthday package the other day! :D I love peach teas, so of course I have to try this one!
She sent me a decent amount of that tea too. Again, with the generous Steepsters on here!
I didn’t read the steeping directions apparently because now that I look at this bag it says to steep “2 heaping teaspoons”, and I only did one and a half. So, this isn’t a very accurate review.
This cup tastes light, but definitely taste the peaches and cream. It’s a nice light and fruity tea. Can’t wait to try it with the correct steeping amount. I’m sure it will be great! Thank you, The Cookie Lady! So sweet of you to send it this way! (:
This is another one from Albertocanfly that she sent to me in a big package a few months ago. And honestly, I wasn’t sure this would be any good.
But HOLY SHANGHAI!
I was WRONG.
I can’t even taste the rooibos.
Doesn’t make me think of egg nog too much, but it’s like a creamy vanilla tea, with a hint of spices. It’s absolutely delicious! Definitely ordering more if it comes back this year! Best tea I’ve tried today!
Thank you, Albertocanfly! You always give me teas that surprise me!!
Flavors: Cream, Spices, Vanilla
Got this one as a birthday gift from the lovely Albertocanfly! She also sent me a small box of Corn Silk Tea (which sounds weird, but is actually super good!), a 2oz bag of the amazing Snowflake from Georgia Tea Co, an adorably small teapot that I really should post a pic of, and a few tea samples.
Tea friends are the sweetest! ^^
It’s not that bad. It has a bad rating here on Steepster, but it’s not horrible.
No sign of pumpkin in this tea, but it’s more of a cinnamon spice tea. Wouldn’t get more of this, but I’ll definitely finish it. Will be nice on the rainy days, I’m sure.
Would be better if I could taste the pumpkin though! If only. :S
Still like the cute tin though. Thank you for the tea, Albertocanfly! :D
Flavors: Cinnamon, Spices
So, out of all the free samples I received from Teavivre I’ve been drinking the
Nonpareil Anxi Qing Xiang TieGuanYin Oolong the most. I have both these teas in zip lock bags, and the Anxi Qing is the one I happen to grab the most. xD
As I go back to this one I don’t like it as much. Yes, it’s still floral-y, and buttery. But it’s definitely not as strong as the other.
Didn’t think I’d end up liking that one better…but the tea world never ceases to surprise me.xD
So this one won’t be bought again probably. But still a lovely tea!
Haven’t been in the tea world for super long….but Butiki’s teas have been some of the best I’ve tried. As the rest of you, I’m pretty sad over Stacy closing shop. But it seemed like Butiki had a good run, even if it wasn’t the longest. Wish I had gotten into the tea world sooner so I’d have had more time trying her teas! But I’m glad I could order more before it’s all gone.
This and Maple Pecan Oolong are probably some of my favorite teas of all time. Glad I could stock up!
Also, wasn’t able to drink much tea yesterday for my birthday. So I’m drinking more today instead! :P
Anyway-this is an awesome tea, and totally love it still.
Thank you, Stacy for giving the tea community so many amazing years of awesome teas! Glad I entered the tea world just in time to try them before you decided to close it up. Wish you the best of luck on your next adventure! (:
