I got this tea as part of a “Tea of the Month” sample pack from my sister for Christmas, and decided to finally try it. Although this tea smells amazing I’ve been putting off trying it because of the reviews I’ve read being predominately negative.

Since its winter and I don’t particularly feel like iced tea at the moment, I decided to make hot tea with this, I steeped for seven minutes, which was probably my first mistake. (The package said 5-7 minutes, but I really should have known better)

First Sip: It definitely tastes tropical, and slightly bitter. However not as bitter as I was expecting based on the reviews. The tropical flavor is definitely stronger but not overpowering, I was expecting it to be a lot stronger because of how long I steeped it for. So far though, I like it enough.

After finishing: I actually didn’t mind this tea. I’ll have to try a few more cups (and experiment a little with steeping) before I make a final decision but it’s definitely not as bad as I was expecting.

About Me
Hi! I’m a 24 year old University student that loves tea -obviously! I also love to read, I’m an English major so I guess that is a given. I may also be a bit of a shopaholic, but hey there are worse addictions right?

Tea
Growing up I hated tea, but when I turned 16 I went on a trip to Japan and fell in love with Green Tea -basically any type of green tea that I could get my hands on. For the following 7 years I stuck exclusively to straight green tea.

Then when I turned 23 a friend of mine got a job at David’s Tea and started pestering me to branch out and try some of their teas. And I am so glad I did! for the next year I tried (and bought) basically every tea David’s had to offer.

Then a couple weeks ago I stumbled across Steepster when I was search for recommendations on other tea brands to try. In the short time I’ve been on steepster I’ve been introduced to some amazing teas from brands all over the world, and some equally amazing people!

Tea Ratings

1 to 40 – I won’t even bother trying to drink this, I’ll just dump it out.

41 to 65 – I don’t like this. I’ll finish the cup because I don’t want to waste it, but I’ll probably be cringing while doing so. And I definitely won’t be repurchasing.

66 to 80 – I like this, I’ll recommend it to people, and at some point I’ll probably repurchase it.

81 to 100 – I am in love with this. Seriously, I’ll be repurchasing this before I’m even halfway through my current stash of it. In fact I love it so much I’ll probably force feed it to you until you love it as much as I do.
