Trying to finish up the sample tin (can’t bear to just pitch tea.) Drank with warm milk and a scant teaspoon of brown sugar. This combination helped to mute the artificial cranberriness, making for a reasonably palatable drink. Not changing my rating, however, as the base blend, on its own, is not good.

Light-bodied green tea with light spearmint flavor. Hints of sweetness and nuttiness. Better with a bit of rock sugar.
Merely approaching an OK flavored green. Dry leaves smell like cherry Kool-aid. 1st infusion—lightly rose scented with a slight cherry flavor. 2nd infusion (30 sec. longer)—artificial cherry flavor really develops and overwhelms any subtlety of the green tea and rose.

A very flavorful, creamy black tea blend with soft notes of vanilla and—-caramel. The best way to describe it—a quiet cup but one I will look forward to again and again.

A truly decadent tea experience—dark chocolate peppermint patty aroma followed by sweet, creamy, chocolate mint flavors with a backnote of coconut. Mint does not overpower but enhances the choco-coconut, and the chocolate aroma continues to develop as tea cools. 2nd infusion: Still smooth with chocolate notes with muted mint sneaking through once in a while. 3rd infusion: Surprisingly, a lovely, flavorful cup of tea.

Dry leaves smell of papaya. Liquor is very smooth, almost syrupy; tastes of sweet fruit. Fruit flavor explodes as tea cools. 2nd infusion yields an even stronger fruit flavor. It is not a repeat choice prepared hot, but a definite selection for iced tea this summer.
A lovely, twisted Earl Grey—Light citrus notes; smooth nutty flavor with an almost peppery finish. I was concerned that the bergamot would overshadow the subtle flavor of the white tea, but this was a very pleasant surprise.

Golden, light-bodied, very gentle sweetness in aroma and flavor.
A touch of warm milk, rock sugar, and cinnamon—yummy on a cold morning!

Dry leaves smell luscious—nutty with chocolate notes. Picking up a hint of anise which evokes aroma not unlike springerle cookies (German Christmas my grandmother used to make). Followed the steeping suggestions: tea smells wonderful and has a very delicate flavor. Taste of chocolate increases as tea cools; nutty aftertaste. This would be a good tea to serve to friends who haven’t tried or say they don’t like green tea. An afternoon comfort cup!
Pale gold with a sweet, floral scent. Delicate, subtle flavor with mild astringency. Definite floral notes. Darjeelings are not usually among my first choices in tea, but this was a lovely surprise!
