Prepare to ice—3 tsps./8 oz., 205 degrees, 8 min. Infusion is Hawaiian Punch-pink, very tart (a touch of sugar is a good idea.) Pour over a lot of ice. Refreshing—I like it better this way, so I’m raising the rating a bit.

Infusion is a pretty copper color—not as dark nor as opaque as I would expect from a pu-erh. Substantial and full-bodied, earthy with fleeting orange notes. This could grow on me—

I love chai in the morning, so I’ve been exploring different chai blends as I’ve come across them. This sample from Upton Imports was intriguing—all the usual spice suspects are present with the addition of coconut and licorice root. I prepared it using takgoti’s recipe (it’s easy to find). The chai is a delicious balance of spice with an appearance by coconut and a surprise of licorice at the finish. (I am not a big fan of licorice as a rule but this was really nice!) A pleasant tweak of the typical chai spice line-up.
It’s glorious today—sunny and in the low 80’s (it’s supposed to get colder later in the week.) I wanted a tea to celebrate spring, and this came to hand. The infusion is the color of rose-gold with a fruity berry aroma. Tart, yet with a sweetness. The flavor and scent held up through 2 subsequent infusions. I will try this one iced next time—it should prove quite refreshing as the weather continues to warm.
A very basic Irish breakfast blend—surprisingly mild and smooth with a touch of late sweetness, but, overall, not much oomph for a morning cup.
A pretty blend—flat green tea leaves, large slivered almond pieces, cinnamon bark, tiny ivory flowers—which smells like almond cookies! A delicious nutty blend with a bit of spice at the end. 2nd infusion develops a surprising creaminess. A lovely cup!

Dark black, twisted wiry leaves with leaf pieces. No berries as in photo, but an aroma of berries. Infusion is a beautiful copper color with a light fruity aroma. Tart with a bit of astringency with elusive sweet berry notes. This would take a bit of sugar well.

Wow—just wow! If one needs proof that tea can be an amazing experience, this is it. This is the best oolong I have tried—beautifully floral, sweet, complex—wow!
Golden with a faint floral aroma. Nice, but not out of the ordinary.
