This is delicious! Tastes like date-nut bread (which I love!) Then it changes a bit, lighter with a hint of citrus. A tease of a tea, something new with each sip. I brewed this western-style because I wasn’t sure of the amount in the sample, but I will definitely purchase a tin to steep in my tiny oolong pot—can’t wait to taste the changes then!

This smelled like creamy vanilla, but the scent did not carry over to the tea. No creamy vanilla flavor, just a tea with a bit of harshness. 2nd steep was a bit smoother, but never did taste vanilla. Not destined to be a favorite—

This tea will take the Ceylon niche in my cupboard, when I’m ready to order. Delicious 1st cup, sweet 2nd cup, and caramelly 3rd cup. I didn’t believe it until I tried it—I believe, I believe, I believe!

This is lovely, refreshing, and light—just right for a gorgeous spring afternoon! Honeydew and cantalope enveloping scents; soft, sweet melon flavor (2nd infusion actually sweeter than the first.) Come summer, this gets iced!

Prepared with the recommended short steeps—1 min., 1 min., 1.5 min., 1.5 min., etc. Very fresh, creamy, definite sweet, vanilla notes. About the 3rd steep, a toasty nuttiness emerges. Tea remains smooth throughout—a very good anytime cup.
Very minty aroma (think Doublemint gum). Prepared with sugar. Minty flavor with a bit of an ashy kick at the end (the gunpowder?) Deciding whether to steep a second time. Moving on—

I was so looking forward to this, but— The dry leaves smell wonderful, exactly like toasted coconut macaroons (thanks, takgoti!) However, it is a strange brew. The aroma is vegetal fighting with coconut. The flavor is buttered spinach—with coconut—not necessarily a complementary combination. My daughter asked “what’s the weird smell”—additionally not a good sign. In any event, I’m a bit bummed, as my expectations were high but sadly unmet.

Very floral aroma, buttery brew. Unfortunately, the floral grows and the butteriness fades quickly. Somewhat bitter afternote. Not horrible, just not as good as hoped.
Very light buttery color with a light floral aroma and a hint of licorice/anise (?!?) Flavor is very light, creamy, subtle with a pleasant nuttiness. 2nd infusion—definitely picking up a licorice/anise flavor and aroma, sugary sweet afternote. Interesting—
Right up front, I like Earl Grey. This one, however, is not doing it for me. The dry leaves smell wonderful, citrusy with maybe, maybe a back-note of lavender. The aroma of the tea is muted citrus, but the flavor is like the bitter white pithy part of the orange that you’re not supposed to eat. I don’t know it that’s the influence of the lavender or not, but it’s not a plus. A very harsh brew—
A very bold morning cup. Rich, dark, with honey notes here and there. I did not reach caramel nirvana, but there is an enticing, elusive sweet note to this tea.
Although the dry leaves have a faint burnt sugar aroma, the steeped tea has a surprising floral scent, at first, which fades to more caramel-ly. Although the flavor is light, it is nutty and sweet, like caramel-nut candy. Intriguing cup—
2nd infusion—more nutty, less caramel. 3rd infusion—light with a sweet afternote. 4th infusion (5 min.)—surprisingly very sweet and can really taste the caramel!

Tea is a pretty golden color, but, overall, the tea is just OK. Little aroma and flavor; not tasting the sweetness as described.
