No complaints for this place! I was able to sit on the second story near a busy area and read or watch people pass by in the city. It was really awesome to see a tea menu with only matcha products that were fresh. I decided to get a frozen matcha with whipped cream because it was a really hot day and it felt good to drink something cold.
Upon entering nana’s you will be seating until someone can take you to a spot to sit while you look at the menu. Each of the drinks are whisked fresh so it take a little bit of time until you get your drink, but they give every customer a free postcard which kept me busy…
Overall, it’s an awesome place to grab ice cream on top of frozen or hot matcha… there are many combinations at nana’s and I wish I could go again.

This shop is absolutely amazing. I added an English translated link to see part of it. The selection at this store is over 250+ tea (I did count) and they are sectioned by estate types. The workers there are very attentive, however I don’t know Japanese so I felt bad because they tried to help me a lot. I was brought free samples of tea to try while I tried to chose four teas out of five walls full of selection. The main wall has 120ish teas from Lupcia with English on the boxes but the teas on the other walls are all in Japanese. The best part about this experience is having Google translate to use on Lupcia’s website so I knew what everything was- this also made it easy to find the kanji for what teas I wanted as well. Overall I have no issue with this store other than it’s quite intimidating to go into a store with so many selections and come out with just a few (imagine if Krispee Kreme had 300 donuts to choose from).
I hope to visit the other Lupcia stores in Tokyo as well after this experience!

I walked about a mile to ZenCha randomly with a friend when Urbanspoon notified me that there was a tea shop near me. This is more of a sit down tea shop than one to buy lots of tea at (though it can be done). I wasn’t looking to sit down, I like to brew my own, so I browsed their tea and a lady came up and talked to me about their teas. She advised me of a special sampler deal they had and I ended up with four ounces of tea for $15 and that alone was enough to give this store a four star but the quality of the tea was fantastic and I cannot give less than five stars! I suggest purchasing their cherry blossom green tea and their mate (it’s much sweeter than other mates).

The first time I went to TehKu I was quite impressed because my only other tea shop experience was Teavanna. The store is not small nor large, it is just the right size. Their selection is quite fine. There is blended matcha power along with many styles of loose leaf tea. I have bought/tried many of their teas and found it to be pleasant each time. I know lots about tea and went in to TehKu looking for teas similar to very rare and expensive teas- I was directed to a golden tip tea from China and then a locally blended tea with aniseed; both were fantastic suggestions. They also display their teas at the tea bar area to smell and look at in little tins which is quite nice.
