Ever since I’ve finished off my little packet of Butiki’s pumpkin milkshake, I’m finding that I miss it… I hope to pop that in a future order, but for now I have a whole pouch of this one to enjoy! This one smells much more like pumpkin pie and reminds me of the holidays. I smell cinnamon, a little bit of creamy pumpkin and just a hint of the black tea base.
Sipping… the cinnamon is the first thing to hit my tongue. It’s closely followed by a bit of creaminess and finishes with the black tea. This one is quite nice! I wish that I could taste a bit more pumpkin and a bit more of that creme brulee. I actually think that this one is not quite as strong as the pumpkin milkshake. The cinnamon may be more tame, but the other flavors are a little too soft.
As I don’t really like the strong cinnamon note in the pumpkin milkshake, but do like the oolong + cream notes and don’t really like the soft flavors of the pumpkin creme brulee, but do like the creamy mouthfeel & muted cinnamon — I think that it’s fair to give these teas the same rating. Definitely a great tea to have during the fall & winter seasons! Even though I’m still wishing for a touch more pumpkin + cream flavors, I can see a reason to have both of these in the cupboard! Might even treat myself to another cup!
