For a gal that doesn’t like fruit teas much I still get tempted by Franks concoctions. So I picked this one up and I have to admit I was surprised. It definately tastes like apricot but it too has a bubble gum smell and finish to it which for me isn’t a good thing. If that flavor wasn’t there I would give this one even a higher score. Keep in mind it doesn’t deter me from drinking it. It tastes sweet and refreshing. I am glad I got it and would recommend it to others.

Bumped up a few points. Made it again today and changed the steep parameters and got a better result. Still once I am done with it. I do not plan on buying more.
Just bought this stuff from the Woodfield Mall Teavana. They have a whole new staff and boy are they pushy. Girl at the front had samples and asked if I wanted any. I said “No thanks” and she gave me a nasty confused look as if she couldn’t understand why I would walk into a store and not want a sample. She then assumed I must have known what I wanted to purchase so that must be the reason why I said “No” to her. I told her I didn’t know what I wanted and that I was going to check out what they had. The confusion continued. She then left me alone to have another guy come uncomfortably close to me and asked if I knew what I was looking for and what I was more into. When I got him away from me and behind the counter things started to get better. However, he kept trying to sell me more than I wanted. Sort of like assuming the sale buy saying “I will get these bagged for you”. I told him I wasn’t sure what I wanted yet but I would let him know. I kept telling him I am familiar with tea but I think the sale tactic is to treat everyone as a newbie to tea. I suppose that works a lot but I think they should back off when they are dealing with someone not so new to tea. So anyway, I bought this one and it is pretty good. Here you go…
It is smooth and a bit sweet but not in the conventional sweet way. It is on the back end and a little earthy. Overall not bad but not great. I think I want to make it stronger next time.
Wow, my first thought was this is so smooth and full of flavor. Slightly sweet, a bit chewy, and kind of meaty. Not that it tastes like meat but it has a quality I imagine meaty it to be. I know weird. Bottom-line a huge unexpected surprise. I am drooling just thinking about it. Delicious!
Yikes! Just awful. The leaves were so oily the taste was like wood. I didn’t really taste vanilla. I had to think really hard to find the flavor and I kind of tasted it but wasn’t even sure if I was trying o hard I was imagining it. Won’t be buying this one again.
Well, I took the plunge and bought a pound of this tea without even trying it. I did this based on how much AmazonV raved about this tea. Now, coming from a person that doesn’t like fruity tea much this is very impressive. It tastes just like a mango dessert we have in India. The mango is actually juicy if that is even possible. It is sweet and slightly creamy like yogurt without the sourness. I have a feeling slightly sweetened and iced it would be a fantastic and refreshing drink. Thanks for the great recommendation AmazonV. :-)
OMG! If ever a tea could evoke childhood memories of my grandmother who passed this January, this is it. I immediately remembered home cooked rice from India. My mom made this too and still does but it is was something my grandma made all the time when I was growing up. It brought back such happy memories and a few tears of all the family dinners together back in the day before we grew up and and the grandparents that helped raised us passed. I am so thankful I found you “Chicago Tea Garden” and that I found this tea. The memory was as fresh as it just happened.
On that note: It is delicious, sweet, and just like rice.
I found this to be vegetal, slightly buttery, and light. It is refreshing. I bet it would be good chilled.
Wow, this is brisk. Not only will you be awake but it’ll put hair on your chest. Still it is good and even though it is strong it isn’t bitter.
I loved this. Tasty, creamy, slightly sweet, great balance with the matcha. I can see this one turning into a guilty pleasure. Delicious!
I finally bought this tea and I am glad I did. Still rich in flavor and roasted with a caramel touch. Lovely!
Backlogged… I had to make this twice because I knew I had to have done something wrong. The first time it turned out too strong and nothing like a cookie. So today I was more cautious about my measuring and steep time and it turned out great. I feel like this tastes more like what I imagined a cookie would taste like while it was baking in the oven. I think this is a great fall and winter tea. It is warm, cozy, toasty, rich, and bakery fresh if that’s possible. I am glad I bought it.
I enjoyed this one. However, it didn’t have the rose scent and taste I was hoping for. The pu-erh itself was just as described. It is earthy and clean. It also has the slight sweet finish I enjoyed so much. If the rose was stronger I would have been over the moon. Today I stay on planet Earth but happy nevertheless.
Bumping up a few points because I can’t stop thinking of my next cup. I will have to buy this next time I am at my local shop.
Rich, decadent, creamy, smooth, velevety , sweet (not overly), sinfully delicious. I am going to need more of this. It even survived a second steep and well too. Satisfying to the last drop.
I thought I would steep my red dragon balls in some red hot water and start with a brisk early morning tea and boy did the hit the spot. The only question I have is did I order this with my last order? If not it is on my wish list for next time.
Yet again another tasty tea from ThePuriTea it is as promised. It has a peppery kick on the finish that lasts well after the sip which to me is AWESOME! It is rich and has a honey feel. I am starting to understand why they call themselves… The Puri Tea (Pure)
First, Thank you Obubu Teas for sending me a sample of this tea. I can use a bunch of fancy words to describe this tea and I will for those who prefer it but really none of that is necessary. This tea is GOOD, amazing even. I loved it and what’s more my dear husband did to. He has never liked a green tea and he not only liked it but told me he would drink it. I was shocked. If you knew him you would be too.
Fancy Words: Deep full cup. Fresh with a slighly roasted finish. Even had a bit a sweetness. Sophisticated and kept me wanting more so I ordered a bag right away. Delicious!
I just love this one it hits the sweet spot. I am so happy I decided to purchase this one. :-)
Boy, I think I like this one more and more as I drink it. So naturally creamy and nutty. LOVE it! :-) Bumped up for awesomeness!
First impression…WOW! It is full of flavor and sweet at the end of the sip. I felt like it was woody and earthy but not at all in a grassy way. It is way more bolder than that. This is another spectrum of earthy tastes we don’t normally get in teas and I am certainly going to have to pick some of this up. I am truly happy I got to try this.
After getting the steep time right I truly enjoyed drinking this tea. The strawberry was actually juicy. I think I may try to make this either traditional iced tea or cold brew, not sure yet. It was slighty sweet and I would have liked it to be more. There was a definate creaminess to it. The best way to describe it this… It is like a high class strawberries and cream dessert you may find a four star hotel made with the freshest berries and homemade cream.
Yet another good, I like this one a lot. It has character, it is not your grandmothers tea and I like it. It is rich, bittersweet as described, robust, and earthy. Not at all boring. Some really good stuff. :-)
Although, I only sampled this black I could tell that it would hold up to milk and sugar very well just from smelling the dry leaf. I enjoyed this and it wasn’t even a fancy tea. Goes to show it doesn’t need to be fancy to be tasty if you just find the right one. I found this to be smooth, slightly robust, and a bit of a mouthful in the best way possible.
