426 Tasting Notes

Shamrock Tea from 52teas
88

I actually purchased this one and made it earlier this evening. It is good but not strong enough still. I am going to try this again with more tea and hope for better.

Fruit Cocktail Green Tea from 52teas
61

First thank you Jessica for sending this one my way!

Meh! It was okay. Tasted better as it cooled but to be honest I am not a huge fan of fruity and only wanted to try this because of some of the reviews I had read.

Champagne Raspberry White from Georgia Tea Company
79

Thank you Jessica for allowing me a taste of this tea

It is very light and the raspberry isn’t at all artificial I can tell ever so slightly that there was a use of champagne only because of the crisp flavor of the raspberry where in fact I don’t actually taste the champagne at all. I am happy to have tried this but not sure if I would purchase this. However, it may be amazing cold. I only say this because I am not the biggest of fan of white teas. However, with that being said this is better than most whites I have had.

Notting Hill from American Tea Room
85

Thanks Doulton for this tea sample.

I too liked the name and simply had to try it and I found it to be very yummy. I would say it is smooth in that the blend was well-balanced but not at all creamy. It feels high-brow and complex, rich and sophisticated as I suppose Notting Hill must be. :-). I am enjoying this cup and am glad for the opportunity to taste it.

Rosy Earl Grey from Teas Etc
91

Thank you Jessica for sending me this tea.

There isn’t much more I can say about this that hasn’t already been said. It is amazing and delicious. The flavors work so well together. My favorite has to be the rose.

Mayan Chocolate Chai from 52teas
89

I love the underlying flavors in here, especially the almond. It is delicious and with a touch of cream and sweetener it helps take off the edge from the cayenne pepper. I love spicy food nothing usually deters me but I don’t do spicy for the sack of doing it. It truly has to make sense in what it is used in. I like it’s use in this tea but, and that is a BIG BUT it should have not stolen the show but rather played a small role for example maybe some stage scenery. If the pepper is taken down a few notches this tea would be a show stopper.

Buttered Cinnamon Raisin Toast Flavored Black Tea from 52teas
56

I don’t know I am really not tasting this. It tastes funny. I will try again and hope I can bump this up. I had such high hopes.:-(

Mike-the-Nerd's Irish Creme Flavored Black Tea from 52teas
93

Wow, can’t believe I am the first to review this tea. It is simply wonderful. I found this to be slighty sweet, incredibly smooth and creamy, definitely got the Irish Cream flavor out of this. I didn’t get any bitterness at all. It is like creamy silk. Amazingly relaxingly good.

Milk Caramel from Lupicia
82

Thank you Doulton for passing this tea onto me.

It was delicious, not sure if it was a true caramel flavor but there was a sweet roasted flavor that was very enjoyable. It is a sophisticated flavor that I believe I will continue to enjoy the more I drink it.

Creamy Calm and Coconut from Adagio Teas

I feel like I am cheating with this one. My best friend bought me a loaf of Toasted Coconut Bread from a Farmers Market and I thought this tea would be a perfect compliment. Boy, was I right. Yummy, light and creamy. Just enough coconut to say it was there and the vanilla and cream made this slightly sweet and definaetly smooth. I felt the bread was the hit of the show and the tea the supporting actor. If they both were bold then I feel it would have been overwhelming and thus uncomplimentary. A perfect pairing. Like an old married couple still in love.

Casablanca Twist from Adagio Teas
86

Haven’t had this one in a while but it I’d still good. Great to help gently clear out the sinuses.

Organic Breakfast from Mighty Leaf Tea
39

I was not a fan. The flavors didn’t work for me. I have another to try and am hoping it is because something was wrong because this really tasted weird.

Bossa Nova (No. 993) from TeaGschwendner
78

Simply delicious, creamy, slightly sweet, and just plain heart warming.

Pina Colada Honeybush from 52teas
87

Yay 100th Tasting Note and I thought I would continue with the tropical theme. This is the second time I am having this and both hot. I swear I will do this cold once. This time when I grabbed my heaping teaspoon I got the biggest chunk of pineapple, boy was I excited. Even the 2nd time around this is delicious although I do get more pineapple in it this time around for obvious reason. I really do enjoy this cuppa.

Coconut Vanilla White from TeaFrog
85

Yummmmmmm, so soothing, relaxing, calming, and peaceful. I think I may be on a fluffy white cloud in the sky with little cherubs flying around, showering me in the cute like pink roses found in this tea. Everything played a role and everything was light. It was a like a tropical romance in a cup, if even that is possible. It was great. It is what I call: Happy Tea

Wild Blueberry from Tea Guys
81

Thanks LiberTeas for giving me a sample of this delicious tea.

I love the freshness of the blueberry. It doesn’t taste artificle. It is refreshing and light. I would go as far as to assume it would be delicious iced and absolutely thirst quenching.

Sinharaja from Golden Moon Tea
83

I taste the honey notes in this so well. It is feels cozy and sophisticated. This was one of my samples I received and have now added this one to my shopping list.

Organic Mint Chocolate Rooibos from LeafSpa Organic Tea
87

Yummy, the mint is more pronounced today which is great since that is what I wanted. The chocolate and delicious as well. I feel this one keeps getting better each time I make it and some how LeafSpa makes it to my cup at least once a day be it this one or another. Great stuff.

Organic Earl Grey from Mighty Leaf Tea
72
What can I say other that I was surprised to sort of like this one. The bergamot was not at all overwhelming and it wasn’t oily. It was pretty good, balanced, and not at all offensive. A nice little surprise.
Love from TeaFrog
79

Here is what I know…I like this tea. The problem is I don’t know why. Just something about it works, it is definaely one of the more unique of roobios tea blends I have tasted. Not sure if I think love maybe this should have been called…Lust Flavored Rooibos. :-)

Black Forest from TeaSource
56

First thank you Meghann M for this sample. This is the first of many to go.

I went into this blind. I didn’t look up the ingredents because I wanted to see if I could identify them myself. Big mistake, I couldn’t tell what I was tasting at all. What I do know is that all the flavors were blended evenly so I couldn’t distinguish what was what and it was worse, after I read what the ingredients were I still couldn’t taste the cherry at all but did notice the coconut. Keep this in mind although I was not a big fan of this one I still greatly apprecaite the opportunity to try it. I have more left so I may give it another chance. I had to use a larger mug today and it may be that I put too much water when steeping it so I may not be getting the full picture. I will try it again in the future and add more notes.

Flower of Hawaii #912 from TeaGschwendner
84

Very nice and I bet would be awesome iced. The flavors come together so well. Everything talks to you but not at the same time so that you can’t hear anyone. It is like a perfectly stimulating conversation where everyone has value to bring to the table and everyone is great at listening to each other. Let’s call this a light fruit tea where even the black tea base plays a major role. Fantastic!

Darjeeling Steinthal from TeaGschwendner
79

Backlogged… I tired this one yesterday and I can say I really enjoyed it. In a word…“fresh” I will purchase this at some point and to be honest the description provide hits it on the head. Delicious!

Wow, almost 100 notes.

Tropical Fire #985 from TeaGschwendner
62

It’s like “bam” “pow” I just can’t explain it but it is definitely loud. I found this to be ok. It was one I sampled while at the store. Not sure I tasted the rose but I did get the passion fruit. It was nice to try but I won’t be purchasing it.
