431 Tasting Notes
Of all the cheesecake blends Frank has this is the first one I truly tasted the cheesecake and that part was by far my favorite experience with this tea. The banana was only slightly present. Nevertheless, not too bad a blend at all.
Preparation
Thank you again Jaime you are awesome!
This one is without words amazing. I just can’t believe how good this was not to mention how it tasted as I would have imagined chocolate covered bacon would taste like. I found it to be rich and deep in flavor and it looks like I need to order some of this for myself. I had a friend over when I drank it and I gave her some to try and she too was amazing at how good it was and how unexpected.
Preparation
Thank you Jaime for sending this to me sometime ago now. I have finally taken the time to organize my cupboard which is basically in my kitchen and dining room (I have too much tea, it is spilling over in great amounts throughout my house but don’t worry I am not complaining) Anyway, after organizing I now have better access to my samples which I hope to be going through more quickly.
So not bad but I was hoping for more of a pronounced carrot taste. Still I very much enjoyed drinking it. I could draw from it the natural sweetness of the carrot. There is a Indian dessert made of carrot that my mom will make once in a blue moon that this stuff reminds me of it. Of course now I am craving it and will have to request she make it sometime. As for the orange aspect, it was a nice complement to the carrot. The Green Rooibos was the perfect choice to help highlight the added flavors. Yum!
Preparation
Well, I finally got this. I am so glad since I was patiently and eagerly waiting to try it. I actually bought it the day it was released and then a week later won the contest on 52 Teas so I have 2 pouches now. This makes me very happy. As far as the simulating factor I can say I was sad to see there seems to be no stimulating effects on me. I feel asleep about 30 mins after drinking it. I am hoping drinking it more will help improve it’s stimulating effects. As for the taste I found it was a little earthy which for me is a good thing. I am also loving the lemon addition but I admit I was hoping the lemon would be stronger. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait. Another winner for Frank.
Preparation
Weird…strange…I just can’t put my finger on it. I can taste the Sweet Potato Pie and it is in this cup I am sipping. I think this is one of those situations where being too accurate is it’s downfall. It is very buttery with a deep mellow sweetness. I can almost taste the darkness of brown sugar but not the sweetness from it. I am glad I received this sample and feel like I could drink this again. I think it would be an occasional treat though. Perhaps it can be best described as… “Complicated”
Preparation
Not bad, not bad at all. I made this extra strong and while it was steeping I took a little milk, warmed it up and then mixed in a touch of honey. Once the chai was ready and poured in the mixture and that just did the trick. It tasted wonderful. I would have given it a higher score but I didn’t get a strong enough chocolate flavor and no cheesecake flavor either. It doesn’t make the blend bad just not as described so bonus points for being good and negative points for not tasting as the ingredients included.
Preparation
What a beautiful and thoughtful Christmas set I received from a very dear friend. Of all the choices I had I decided to drink “Butterfly” as my first this New Year’s Eve and what a great decision. Found the blossom to be simply gorgeous. The reddish pink center is just brilliant I must thank my friend right away. The taste was surprising in a very good way. It was slightly floral but mostly sweet. The sweet taste is a bright natural sweetness. Not syrupy or artificial at all. I can’t wait to taste the rest of my blooming teas.
