Sipping down the last of this iced~

I think I like herbal’s iced the best. Especially the cheap bagged kind. This is just like delicious blueberry juice only without the calories. Its best sweetened with a touch of honey. Love this stuff, and definitely doing to be getting more once I finish off some of my other teas. It’ll probably make good popsicles when it gets hot. =D

Experiment number 30: 50% Vanilla Green and 50% White Peach.

This didn’t go very well. While the White Peach helps the flavor of the white green, the vanilla green drags down the white peach. I had to add sugar to this, which I almost never have to with white blends. The Vanilla Green didn’t play very well with my sample of white blueberry either. Gonna have to try the vanilla green with some green fruit blends when I can get my hands on them. I’m thinking I see a sample of apricot green in my next Adagio order.

Anyanka

It sounded like a good idea.

Ramvling

Aye. It was drinkable, but I think I can get a better flavor out of the vanilla green with the proper fruit.

Sad sipdown. :,C

Finished off the last of this today. (So much for saving it for summer. XD) It’s just so gosh darned tasty. I particularly like this one cold steeped. In fact, I’m getting one last hoohah out of the last of these leaves as we speak. I love that I can brew a cup hot then just throw the left overs in the fridge. Its a creamy, wonderful, healthy concoction. Hot and iced.

This was great, definitely going on the reorder list.

Friend made me some of this when I visited her this weekend. I took it with sugar and creamer. Its not the best tea, I mean I wasn’t blown away, but it was good enough to wake me up.

With cream and sugar I kind of get sweet potato from this. Not as much as I’d like, but its still kind of there. It’d probably make a decent latte.

Thanks Marcel Duchamp for the swap!

I quite like this. It doesn’t taste as strong as it smells, but I still like it. It’s nice and sweet, with a subtle vanilla. Numnumnum.

Like most adagio flavored, this probably works best when blended with something else. I can see it being good with White Peach or maybe even a nice strawberry flavored tea. Basically something fruity. Luckily there’s enough left for a bit of experimentation~

Edit: Okay, this note is doing weird things. Stop it note.

Sipped down my sample of this latte style.

Now when I was youngish, I read a book where the main character drinks a lot of earl grey. Having no idea what earl grey was, I imagined it to taste as a sort of creamy sweet ‘grey’ tasting drink. I don’t know why. It was a taste I invented in my head with absolutely no context, I don’t think I’d even tried tea at that point.

Now, while I’ve come to love earl grey for what is is, in latte form with a hearty amount of sugar, this tastes exactly how I imagined earl grey to taste like. Which is interesting. Maybe I’ll order this again sometime and try making some ‘milk tea’ out of it.

Backlogging this one. I’ve been saving it for the return of Doctor Who~

I made a pot of this to enjoy during the premiere and immediately garnered the interest of all my non-tea drinking friends. That’s quite a feat, as they normally are indifferent to my tea habit. That’s how fantastic this smells. Sweet and fruity~ It still tastes very much of earl grey, even with all the fruity vanilla overtones, but that’s how I like my earl grey. Tastes just like a delicious blueberry muffin. I also made it into a latte on Monday and that was fantastic~

Anyways, new season of Doctor Who! Bring it on! Allons-y!

I was saving this for over the summer, but I was feeling sad so I figured breaking into this was preferable to eating an entire thing of icecream.

So long story short, I didn’t get the co-op. This was not unexpected, as they were only taking four people from the entire everywhere, and I’m just a freshman, but they didn’t even wait the full month before rejecting me. So basically I was one of the first applicants they cut. I knew it was a long shot, but I didn’t realize it was THAT much of a longshot. Ah well. Keep your chin up, drown your sorrows out in tea, so on and so forth.

Anyways, this is really good. Just what I needed. It keeps getting better and better as it cools, so I’m cold steeping the left over leaves. I’m drinking it hot now, and it tastes just like warm gelato. Sweet and creamy. Delicious.

I am sorry you didn’t get the co-op…. Glad at least you had a good cup of tea to keep you company.

Ramvling

Just wasn’t right, I suppose. I’ve got a few more applications pending, so we’ll just have to see how those pan out. Thank you though. <3

drank Tropical Mango by Teajo Teas

And another free sample I got in my PO box over spring break. Thanks Teajo Teas~ Samples are always appreciated, especially big ones.

Now does anyone else on here have the adagio ingeniTEA? Its the only teapot I have, but I find that it has a tendency to spill my tea all over the place if I accidentally place it at an unfortunate angle, even on level surfaces. Its a useful thing so I can forgive the occasional mishap, but if anyone has any tips I’d appreciate it.

So yeah, I did make two cups of this, but I lost about half of that to unfortunate angling. Alas and forsooth.

Anyways, this is a pretty good tea~ Dry, it almost smells sort of alcoholic. Which is weird, but goes away when steeped. This reminds me a bit of the Pom Tango in that its got a very strong, juicy mango flavor. Like drinking warm mango juice. The black tea base is also pretty good here. I’ve said it before, normally I don’t like black tea, but this is some quality stuff. I’ll definitely be ordering this some time in the future.

Awesome! I snagged some of this on the weekend (I personally ordered Black Manas) and am eager to try it!

drank Matcha by Infussion
43 tasting notes

First of all, big thank you to Infussion for sending out free samples. I probably never would have gotten out of my comfort zone enough to try matcha otherwise.

Now, I’m going to hold off on rating it because I’m not sure I made it right. I tossed the four gram sample into a water bottle with two cups of water and some honey and shook it up. Took a sip, didn’t like it. Went to class, came back, tried it again and down the whole bottle in about two seconds. So I really don’t know about that. XD

Overall I’m sure this is an excellent matcha for the experienced matcha taster. The quality seems to be pretty high (and heavens knows it tasted better than the starbucks green tea frappachino. Though I think the syrup starbucks uses is to blame for that one.) But really, I have no idea what I’m doing. =,D

I still have the ceremonial grade, so I’m going to have to try and make that one properly. XD

Kittenna

4 oz. sample?? Maybe 0.4? Just trying to figure out how you made it! I think most people use between 1-2tsp/2 cups water when making a smoothie, and perhaps less when drinking it straight.

Ramvling

I meant 4 grams! Wow lol.

Kittenna

For some reason, that didn’t even occur to me, ahaha. Sounds much better!
