11 tasting notes

Hello all,

Been lurking about this site for the last several months; new member as of today. I’ve found many reviews here extremely helpful in helping me decide which teas to try. Thank you! :)

Got a sample of this tea just before the August 27th launch and decided to give it a try this afternoon.

The name of this tea is rather misleading as I think of apple cider being spiced with cinnamon/cloves, however, as an APPLE TEA it’s mild but pleasant. I can make out the subtle tartness of the apple and it’s a rather clean tasting tea.

Nothing was added to the tea (I never put anything when trying a tea for the first time).

I’ve been looking for apple tea for the longest time – I had tried Big Apple earlier this year and was not at all impressed (add to that, and I had mentioned this to a few employees that, for a white tea, the recommended temperature is WAY TOO HOT thus rendering a bitter taste). This one is a bit more of what I’m looking for.

Flavors: Apple, Tart

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 4 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 250 ML

I’ve enjoyed a cup of tea now and then for many years. It was only when I stumbled upon The Tea Emporium ten years ago that I took a keen interest and began to learn more about this wonderful beverage.

Since then I had been a huge fan of Japanese and Chinese green tea. Recently I decided to broaden my horizons and check out the other types of teas out there. Thanks to DAVIDsTEA I developed a palette for herbal and oolong teas.

I came across this site earlier this year when looking up teas to try. The reviews have been most helpful (and I hope what I post offers some assistance too).

Aside from tea a few other things I enjoy are playing the piano, dancing, skiing, kayaking, shooting some pool and having a night out with my foodie friends.
