Backlogged from yesterday.
I love apples. I am an apple fan. Bring me more apples! And Honeycrisps are the queen of all apples, in my opinion. I stuff my face with them when they are in season, and moan about their absence when they are out of season.
Yesterday was the first I’d seen of them in the shops, and I pounced like some sort of comical cartoon cat. I’ve already eaten three, and its not even the peak of the season yet!
This tea had me completely excited. I’m usually shy about green teas, but if anything could convince me to relinquish my beloved black tea, its a honeycrisp apple, and so I brewed up a cup of this yesterday to celebrate appley goodness.
Firstly, the scent. Holy apples, batman! Its smells just like an apple, crisp and light and juicy- though I’d say more a green apple scent then a true honeycrisp.
Brewed up it loses most of its apple flavor. Its pleasant, and there is a lovely soft note of apple, but its not quite the same. But I feel potential lurking in there. Maybe I can coax it out! More experimentation is needed!
Anyone else an apple fiend, and excited for honeycrisp apple season?

Yep! I’ve already eaten two of the four I bought yesterday. To me, apples are the perfect food. Juicy, crisp, and yummy. I haven’t had this tea yet. It’s on the list, though!

You would be in apple heaven here in Virginia, Rosehips! Some of the finest apples in America are grown in the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenendoah Valley of the Commonwealth. Apple festivals aplenty in the autumn! I’m all about Golden Delicious apples.
