2967 Tasting Notes
This was taken to work, and then drunk down from there. Indeed, teas that I’m only meh about go down an absolute treat at work, where I can drink them without feeling like I need to pay too much attention to them. Its glorious!
So I’ve drunk this down! Wahoo!
I’m going to lower my rating, as it could not catch the spark of pure delight it used to. I’ll have to think really hard about putting this back in my cupboard.
Ooof! Hello everyone, I’ve had a very busy few weeks, so I’m happy to have a bit time to catch up my logging!
Its a day of errands for me, as these holiday days often are. Its good to have a holiday weekend to run around in. Makes life that much easier.
But even though I have a lot to do today, its an easy morning, which is great. So I can induldge in a more low key tea.
I like this, but I don’t loooove it. Its a vanilla tinged chai, which is not particularly heavy on the spices. This is actually a feature, not a bug for me, and I appreciate its delicate balance. Good for a lazy morning!
As we are experiencing a winter storm at the moment (complete with pouring rain and potential flooding) I thought this would be a good choice for the morning.
Its a nice blend on a cold morning, with a touch of spice, a touch of fruit, and just the tiniest hint of rose in it.
Ahh.
I had this on Friday morning, as I thought it would be good for my stuffed up self. Strong, but not particularly a favorite, and bold enough to cut through the cold?
Well it tasted bitter on Friday, so I’m not quite sure what I did.
I can’t wait to get well, and be able to taste all the things I really love again. I shall have a subtle tasting tea festival!
So I did what anyone who is fighting a cold and has a bagged tea that I don’t particularly care for would do. I brought this to work and have been indifferently guzzling it down all day long.
I’ve made a huge dent in my tin of it, therefore, which is great. I will get this sipped down pronto!
I’m going to work this year really hard on pruining my teas, to have my cupboard be more balanced towards favorites.
Ugh. Fighting a cold. I’m doing much better today, but I am wrapped up in a thick sweater, and continuing my noble tradition of pouring gallons of hot water down my gullet. That solves everything, right?
This is a strong enough flavor profile to peek through the tastebud blahs of mild illness. And it was a very warming tea, which is great, as I’ve woken to pouring rain and blowing wind.
Nice to be safe and cozy in bed.
This is all finished now, and I must say that it was not memorable.
I do not particularly like either white tea or chestnuts, but this came free with some other teas I got, so I decided to give it a go.
And it was just entirely weak. I never even got a hint of chestnut in it, which is too bad, and the white tea base was very weak and bland.
Ah well, a sipdown now!
Happy birthday! May there be much merriment, reveling, and serendipity!
wooohoo! happy birthday!
