2967 Tasting Notes
Ooof. Work this morning was a bit of a disaster. We had a fill, who ran too long, didn’t even get to the subject, and was generally a mess.
Ugh. At least I’m done.
How am I drinking this down so fast? How are all my Butiki blends all vanishing like that? Argh!
This was a lovely blend to have tried, I liked it a bunch. I’m sad I’ll not have anymore!
Sipdown.
If you have heard a rhythmic thumping noise, thats me banging my head into my desk. Friends, its been a day.
Boyfriend has the flu, and is still trying to train for a pentathalon (banished to bed), parents are on vacation, so house and businesses need to be tended to, brother calls with relationship questions, best friend has broken up with her live in boyfriend and is now looking for another place to live and battle over custody of the cat, three coworkers are out, and scrambling to finish a large project has slain me. I am dead. RIP Rosehips.
When not melodramatically proclaiming my own death, I am rummaging through the hugeness of my tea cupboard for a soothing tea. Thats what this one is, nice, rich and creamy, soothing. Bingo. I need all the soothing I can get!
Boyfriend is ill tonight. So I tucked him in, and went home to my own tea. I feel fine, but to help fend off the germs, I decided that this tea would be just the thing.
I’m going to miss it now, its all gone.
Sipdown!
I’ve got a lot of teas in my cupboard right now. Tons! And so I’m on a buying hiatus until I’ve cut my stash in half. And, as I’ll be taking a few exciting trips later this year, where tea might be an option, I should get sipping.
I’ll be done with this sooner than later. Jingle Bells, like many of the Lupicia holiday blends, does not seem very “wintery”. This is light and full of grapy goodness. A lovely spring flavor, in a holidaytin. Ha.
Up and at em!
My stomach is behaving strangely, so I thought some cranberry juice, well, tea with cranberry in it, would be useful.
“What is that?” asks my boyfriend as I hand it over for him to smell. “Thats great!”
Ha. Tea converts. Its so much fun to introduce them to the blends I really love. So much fun to see their reaction!
I slept terribly last night. I woke up in the middle of the night convinced there was someone in the house. A brief excursion with a baseball bat and my phone showed that this was not so, but it was still hard to get back to sleep.
So I used up the last of Santa’s secret to give me an old kick in the pants to get up and get going. Bleh. Is it time to go home yet?
Sipdown! Till next Holiday, Santa’s secret.
Ooof, it was a long weekend, and, worse, one without tea!
It was a lovely weekend with the family of my boyfriend, who do not drink tea. So when they say “oh I’ve got lots of tea!” what they mean is they have a few stray teabags laying about.
Ah well. Nice people, regardless.
So I’m delighted to return to the pot of tea and all my cups.
Its cooled down a little here, which is all the excuses I need for a more autumnal flavor profile (though this is fruity enough that I could drink it year round without feeling like I’m betraying the current season.
Happy first day of spring!
Nothing for it, but to rummage through my cupboard for the springiest tea in my possession, which is this, as far as I’m concerned.
Strawberry, vanilla and rose petals, its light, delicate, and just so darn cheerful. I’m very fond of it- its hard to be sad when drinking this tea, even if I do have to go to work soon.
