Oooh! This brewed up so very rich. It smelled almost charcoal smoky, which is a very nice thing.
The taste is solid, woody, very robust, with, yes, a hint of roasted smoke to it.
I really enjoyed this. Thanks be to Ost who was the giver of the sample!

I’ve got some time this afternoon to get stuff done, which will be lovely. First thing on the itinerary is tea.
Warm and complex, this is good. It really does have a creamy mouthfeel, and the sensation that nutmeg has been lovingly dusted over the top. Impressive.

TeaNTees

That sounds delectable!

First tea of the morning. Early day, and now an earache. Bleh.

Fjellrev

Noooo, are you going to get it checked out? Hope it’s not an infection.

Rosehips

I will if it continues past today. I don’t want/need an infection either!

I continue to feel a touch under the weather, which is not fun. Not enough to keep me from work, but not enough to be entirely comfortable when out and about.
The solution, or as much as there can be a solution, is tea!
Almost out of this soothing blend of peppermint, ginger and chamomile blossoms. I’ll miss it, when its gone, its great for these days.

In some ways being ‘barely’ sick is worse than just flat out sick. You still have to go through your daily routine, but you’d rather just stay home in your jammies, trying to recover your energy. feel better soon!

I am sometimes a mystery to myself? Why, with the tease of spring just around the corner, am I drinking lots of autumnal teas? No idea.
Carry on.

Them tastebuds are living in the past!

Nostalgic tastebuds!

This will always be an autumn tea to me. One sip of its rich, pumpkin flavor, and I’m whisked back to crisp leaves and the start of sweater season.
Its amazing how taste is tied to memories like that.
An autumn classic.

My stomach is a little jumpy this evening, so I had a rummage, and pulled out this.
This blend nails “feel better”, with its blend of ginger, peppermint, and a soothing bit of chamomile, to send you off to bed, stomach a little more settled. Good stuff.

Monday. How on earth is it Monday? I swear I had more weekend owed to me! I was going to drink so much more tea!
Sigh.
Well, what weekend I did have was fun, and now, with the structure of the week, I can get some serious work done on the ol’ tea drinking front.
I’m catching up on my sleep, so I still need teas with a bit of pep and punch. Yes, some peppermint will do nicely, thank you. I’ll be a bit sad when this is gone.
In other news, its really soothing to read tasting notes. I’ve been reading the notes from today’s feed in between projects at my busy job, and finding them so nice- honest and funny and charming and just good. Its really nice to have so many invisible tea friends, who write such nice notes.

You know, I was skeptical, but I like this. I wondered if I hadn’t built it up in annoyance, but I think its very nice. The squash and the spices blend together very creamily, and its warming without making my tastebuds uncomfortable. Yes, a goodly tea.

drank Vanilla Bean by Mighty Leaf Tea

Gosh my boyfriend loves this tea. He’s mad for the mighty leaf teas, and… well, I find them a little underwhelming. Perfectly pleasant, mind you, but not as special or rich as other teas.
That, plus the fact that Mightly Leaf is a pricey tea, even if its available in the grocery store, and for that buck, I want a little more bang.
Still, it served well as a quick breakfast cup.

ashmanra

I agree with you.

I love tea! I confess that I was a hot chocolate lover for most of my life, but recently a switch has gone off in my brain, and suggested that I might just love tea. And I do!
I’m a bit of a novice, but an enthusiastic one, and am happily sipping new varieties all the time.
I love vanilla, fruity, and caramel flavors, and cant wait to try more.
