2967 Tasting Notes
Sipdown time!
You ever have one of those days that, for no real reason, you are dreading going into work? That’s my day today. Weee.
Well, I’ll fortify myself with a mint black.
Farewell, Peppermint Bark. I’ve liked you, but not loved you, and its time to move along.
Oh, I’m so glad its a three day weekend. Its gonna be fantastic to not have to go into the office tomorrow morning.
I’m not above drinking a black tea in the evening, especially when it can be a lazy morning the next day.
I love Lupicia, and I love this tea, but its a bit of a mystery why its a Christmas tea. I mean, strawberry? Rose? Wha?
Its still lovely, don’t get me wrong, it just does not seem to be a winter flavor.
When looking at the flavor notes for this tea, I was rather confused. All those notes in one tea?
Turns out, yes, yes there are.
This is a lovely oolong, rich, layered, complex flavors that boil down to simple goodness. I may need some more than the little sample Ost was good enough to send to me. Oh yes, I see some tea shopping in my future. Ooooh yes.
Many, many, many thanks to Ost for letting me try this!
Its my birthday! Today I’m being whisked off to a fancy brunch, and to the opera! I love the opera, so I’m excited.
Time to start the day off right, with this minty, vanilla-y wonderfulness.
Its perhaps silly, at my age, but I’m always excited for my birthday.
I need a rich cup of tea today. You ever have those mornings?
I was thinking, as this was steeping up, that I’ve never actually had Figgy Pudding, so I have nothing to compare it to. For all I know, this could either be a perfect recreation, or a total deviation. No idea.
What I do know is that the tea has a rich taste of figs, which I quite like. Good!
Argh, why is there “DISC” tacked on to all the Butiki teas? That’s not part of the name of the tea, and I find it irritating. That info can go in the description. One should assume not all teas listed on Steepster are available. (Sorry for ranting on your post.)
