2966 Tasting Notes
Oooof, this week. Honestly man, where does all the time go? At least it’s Friday?
I’ll be honest- one of the reasons I bought this tea is because its part of the Met Museum/ Harney and Sons collaboration, and I am always swayed by beautiful packaging.
Which is not to say that the product inside isn’t the most important thing, and that I wont enjoy my favorites in boring tins, but…. if theres a really pretty tin? Oooh, I’m a gonner.
It’s a delicious tea, but the tin is what sold it.
Still, yum.
Yesterday I was fixing a cup of this and dropped the leaf all over the floor. Sigh. Oh, Monday.
Today was much more successful in getting the tea in the cup.
It’s gonna be that kind of week.
I like this! It’s one of the least “Christmassy” Christmas blends I’ve had. It’s light and fruity, and I like it. It’s gentle and refreshing this morning.
I am a sucker for nice packaging, and the Harney and Sons Met Museum collaboration is right up my alley, so I had to get this.
Now, usually I’m all for seasonality, and it’s a bit late in the year to start drinking Christmas teas, but this one is actually light and fruity. The main note is apricot, and so I don’t feel like a fraud when drinking it.
It’s light and very tasty, and the Met Museum tin is so pretty!
I put a small Lupicia order in a few weeks ago, and today I am happily sipping Orange & Ginger.
I like that it’s not too heavy. You arn’t bashed over the head with the orange or the ginger. They are a gentle, happy presence in the cup, not overwhelming.
It’s a really nice tea.
How is is Monday? Where did my weekend go? Where did my last week go?
Fortunately I have tea.
I am a creature of habits. I felt like this tea, so this tea I shall drink.
Tower of London is one of my favorite teas for those mornings where I want to just enjoy something without thinking about it too hard.
Its my birthday! And it got off to a wild start.
At 3 in the morning my phone rang. It was the security company for my office saying that the alarm was going off, and that police had been dispatched.
Fortunately they didn’t call back (which means that the police didn’t find anything), but I had trouble going back to sleep.
Ah well.
Adventures!
In any case, a lovely cup of a favorite tea is much desired today. Yum!
So I live in the part of California that is being slammed with lots of rain, high winds, and general Weather™. So far it’s not flooding here, but there are big sections of the roads that are not in ideal condition.
I love the rain, but I wish it would happen on the weekends, instead of when I need to go to work. I spent all weekend annoyed that it was clear and I had nowhere to go, but this morning it’s pouring and I’m going to need to go to work soon.
But for now I can listen to the rain and sip this lovely cup of tea.
Their peach tea is very good.
So far, all the Charleston teas I’ve tried lean toward the mild side—but still goof quality.
