I am in the thick of NaNoWriMo, and am fulled by tea.
A pot of tea- write, sip, repeat.
This is a good tea for writing and sipping. Sweet, warming, and good to power the imagination.

I feel no particular need to log this when I have it. Last night my stomach was bothering me a little, so I had some of this, and it did its job.
Your run of the mill peppermint tea. It shall always have a place in my cupboard.

I had another cup of this last night, and I am once again unable to really report back. Its sort of a cup of nothingness. No particularly strong flavors, just an impression of something warm.
Hmm. Glad I don’t have so much of this.

I wanted chai this morning, and chai I shall have.
I oversteeped this a little, which does not make it undrinkable, but it does rather pack a serious whack of spices.
Still, thats an acceptable thing on a morning with a decided chill in the air.

Woe! This tea is almost done!
I think one more pot will kill it off. Oh beautiful Autumnal tea, you may be a sipdown much sooner than I want you to be….

Nothing inspires me to try teas that I’ve been a little afraid to try like sipdown mania. Which is where we find ourselves today.
I am always wary of Yerba Mate, and I still think it won’t be my favorite tea. Its not one I ever buy for myself. But a sample of this came with a Tea Spot order a while ago, and its been totally neglected since I got it.
Well, three teas are standing between me and my black Friday goal, and nothing motivates me like goals to break into the lesser-loved teas.
I am, however, only going to be able to drink one cup of this today, even though the sample pouch easily has enough tea in it for perhaps two more cups.
Yeesh, the caffeine! If I had any more of this, I would vibrate into the stratosphere.
The flavor is a hodge podge of all sorts of things, but my general impression was that it was refreshing. Not as muddy as it could be.
Still. This is not going to become a favorite, that’s for sure.

Had a cup of this a few nights ago, and its very nice indeed. Its like a herbal chai, which makes its name seem extra appropriate.
Warming, spicy, and just plain nice on a cold night.

I have, once again, acquired the wild eyes and laser focus of a woman on a mission. A week ago I was preparing to accept defeat. There was no way that I could achieve my goal of 40 teas in my cupboard before Black Friday.
But some minor victories in the sipdown arena have, once again, brought me back to the brink of obsession, and I am going to drink tea for glory!
Or something like that.
What all this hyperbole is trying to say is, I can see the bottom of the tin. I might be able to get it all drunk down before next Thursday. I am within a teacups throw of my goal.
And it would be darn nice to hit that goal.

Making progress, as this blend was my morning cup, and a sipdown!
I quite liked this one, it was warm and, well, cozy. I may very well pick up some more in future!
But for today, another notch of the Black Friday Sipdown goals.

I’ve had this a few times now, not because I’ve ever bought it, or ordered it in a restaurant, but because Smith sends it along with any order I seem to do.
Well, after a brief steep time I find it light, with an almost lemony mintiness to it.
And, its a cheap shot sipdown, as I have now knocked one of my numbers down with a single cup of tea.

I love tea! I confess that I was a hot chocolate lover for most of my life, but recently a switch has gone off in my brain, and suggested that I might just love tea. And I do!
I’m a bit of a novice, but an enthusiastic one, and am happily sipping new varieties all the time.
I love vanilla, fruity, and caramel flavors, and cant wait to try more.
