This one just taste like dirty water to me very sad not sure if I have ever had mate before and if it has more of an earthy flavor ? But this is not my cup of tea :( very sad

How long did you steep it for? With Mate you can steep it for a long time – 10 minutes or even longer without bitterness. I do recommend a slightly lower temperature, around 195 degrees F.

By the way, yes, Mate does have an earthy flavor, but, I am surprised that earthy is all you tasted in this.

I didn’t get much chocolate in this one either even with a really long steep. With a bit of milk and sugar it’s a bit better though. I’m not sure what temp I used but I steeped it for a long time.

i dont know whats going on Im going to change the water in my hotpot i used the water from the fridge which is not normally used, cues idk if there was remaining in it but when i made my fav dragon pearls it tasted the same so my thoughts went to water… So i will try this again with a clean fresh pot

My tea Ratings :)

1 – 10 – Bleck. Didn’t finish the cup.
11 – 25 – Drinkable. But don’t punish me by making me have it again. Anyone want to try ?
26 – 40 – Meh. This is ok.. might try it later again..
41 – 60 – it good. I would buy only small amounts
61 – 75 – I LIKE this! keeping it in the pantry
76 – 85 – Must have in the pantry for thoughts day’s!
86 – 100 – Yum! I will hunt down the vendor to get this tea!
