This one has settled down since last time I drank it, which is a good thing. There was something chemically and odd about it before, but now I can actually taste cheesecake in the brewed tea. And chocolate. I’m not getting much in the way of peanut butter, though, or even nuttiness. The rooibos isn’t too prominent, so it scores points for that.
Ultimately, this isn’t quite the tea I’d hoped it was going to be. It would pass as a chocolate cheesecake tea now, and I have to say that the cream cheese note I’m picking up is really delicious and dead-on accurate. I just wish there was any kind of nuttiness here — that would really bring it home.
I’ve one cup’s worth left, so I’ll probably finish that off tonight. I’m glad I had the opportunity to try this, but it’s not one I’d pick up again based on this experience.
