6583 Tasting Notes
i figured i should knock two of the capilano teas off my list tonight since they’re herbals so i drank this one as well. it’s pretty much a typical herbal “berry” tea. Not overly hibiscus for those who care about that, and the lemon grass softens the berry-ness a little as well. Not too shabby, though i don’t know if i need this one in my cupboard again since i like my berry herbals to have distinct flavours instead of just “berry” :) thanks variaTEA!
Final Count: 164 (14 more to go i hope this weekend!)
Another one from VariaTEA I was looking forward to trying this one because it’s a favourite of the girls and yet, i’ve never gotten around to ordering it or trying it from them. Sadly, this one fell a little flat for me. It’s a decent coconut black, but i was not getting any real sense of the pinapple – which i think would have made it a much more interesting blend for me. that being said, still tasty and i did enjoy finishing this one up!
cavocorax sent this one my way and it’s just not working for me. Mostly, it’s a mouthful of floral for me..not the delicious buttery spinach flavour that i prefer in a green oolong…you know, when i actually drink those :) Still though, super glad i got the chance to try it…happy i didn’t fall in love with it since butiki is no more. thanks Cavo!
i have too many teas. My goal was to be at 65 by the end of september but then people…you know who you are…decided i needed 90+ teas in my cupboard. And to here i am, at 176 today. So my mini goal for this weekend? Get down to 150. Easily doable if i get any time whatsoever to spend at home this weekend. This was one of those single cup sipdowns. I’m not generally a fan of oolongs, but this was a free sample in one of my verdant orders and is decent. Not enough for me to want it IN my cupboard, but enough for me to sit and drink and enjoy, versus pouring it down the drain after trying it :)
nice roasty feel to this one, smooth and unoffensive.
