5906 Tasting Notes
The last of my samples from Wymm Tea. I have to say i’m impressed with this companies offerings so far. They have all been thoroughly enjoyable even if i haven’t managed to get very good descriptions of the teas out there imo. I recommend giving them a shot if you’re a puerh fan and maybe even if you’re not. As i’ve said before, i generally prefer shou but i’m not opposed to trying out sheng’s as one of my favourite puerhs is a sheng :)
this one is another that i would gladly put in my cupboard and will likely order once i’m allowed to. this one started out on the softer side of things but quickly turned in to a much stronger brew. I didn’t experience any sort of bitterness in these steeps but i was keeping them short with a bit cooler temp than normal.
i tried this one in store yesterday – it was fairly tasty but i picked up 7g to try at home as well so mini cupboard increase even though i’m not supposed to buy tea so that i can make sure this isn’t something i want to buy a larger amount of when i can finally buy teas again heh. i enjoyed this one in store…slight tang, mostly just a cup of berry goodness. Not overly sweet so yay for that as well.
Final Count: 130
I picked this one up yesterday as well and i’m glad i did. It was a good cup to enjoy in the evening. That being said, this doesn’t call out to me like some of david’s other herbals so this sample is all i really need. It’s sweet and very much melon like…but in a pinch i’d MUCH rather have lupicia’s golden honeydew :)
Smokey tea this is for sure! Terri sent me this one in the last round of tea we exchanged and i love it! This + a splash of maple syrup made everything right yesterday out in the cold :) I’m glad i have a little more to have again as i’m mostly out of smokey teas in my cupboard at the moment heh. This has got a great balance of smoke, malt and strength to be great in the morning! thanks terri!
