3138 Tasting Notes
Justjames sent me this as well as his custom butiki blend as a thank you for the matcha i sent his way. This has been on my list to pick up from stacy for an eternity, but since i’ve been trying to sipdown my cupboard, i hadn’t picked it up yet. I brewed this up tonight because i was exausted and wanted something to just sit and enjoy. I’ve had two cups of this now – with a cup left over to try this again over the weekend because i kept it to normal people cups haha.
I’m not sure how i feel about this one. I don’t love darjeelings, so that might be something to do with it. It’s for sure, creamy and delicious but mostly it comes across as a vanilla tea to me. Not so much with the pumpkin. I’ll be drinking this again this weekend to see if i can figure it out. A tasty tea..but not quite “pumpkin” for me….though as i sit here i wonder if that’s because i always equate ’pumpkin" with pumpkin spice…. hmmmm
thanks justjames! this was a great end to my long day :)
SIpdown on this one from the lovely dexter! I find this one to be really tasty. I do need to compare it sometime with a few others so i can narrow down my favourite keemun but this one is up there! light smoke, slightly malty. yep! delicious!
Morning tea! I pulled this out because i realised that i hadn’t had my tea in forever. :) I made it to the end of the week and wanted to celebrate. Here’s hoping the weekend is quiet at work! THis is still as delicious as ever and i really am happy we got the chance to make it! thanks for being awesome Stacy!
just for cavo…. finishing off the day with a cup of this tea. :)
Terri was kind enough to send some of this my way and while i’ve been drinking this tonight i’ve been perplexed. I’m not sure how i feel about this tea. It’s smooth…and then there’s this weirdo mid taste and then i’m confused again. I like it..but it’s going to need another few cups for me to land on where i feel about this one. Still glad to be trying it out though!
i had this earlier today and it was still a delicious treat. I’m getting near the end of this so i’ll need to decide sooner rather than later if i want to restock this one or try a few more variations on the theme first :)
mmmm…it still counts as drinking it in the morning if it’s a minute before noon…right? :)
Brisk and malty and just a good average cup for a tough day!
Sipdown on this one. I sent this to the ladies in the BBB Box mostly for a play on the names of the teas. They received a breakfast blend and then an afternoon blend. :) Next trip is going to be Fancy teas!
This helped solidify in my mind that Murchie’s teas are only for me if i want a a nice delicious tea with milk and sugar. It helped as well that i finally figured out i need to steep this at a bit cooler temperature since there’s some sneaky darjleeing in there.
Overall, not a fantastic tea but it’s well enough for the small quantity that let me play with it and share it. I don’t think it’ll be a super huge win with the ladies, but that’s part of the fun! we get to share experiences and some are wins and some are less wins hahaha
I finally remembered to brew this up as a cold brew! I’m so glad that i did. I am a super fan of this cold – sans sweetner. I will for sure be ordering up more of this in the summer months to serve as a cold tea. it’s refreshing and light and deliciously tasty!
mmmm thank you dexter! I picked this as one of my teas this morning and i kept reaching for it even after i’d finished it. In usual keemun fashion i added a bit of maple syrup to this but it didn’t need it. I just like the way keemuns + maple work for me. This could easily be one of my staple tea as it’s not too demanding, but it’s also not unassuming. Appreciate the share dexter! tasty!
I had another go at this today and this is not my favourite tea. I much preferred the Yunnan from MF that my parents picked up for me. Not that this is a bad tea, but i prefer others over it. Luckily i have tea friends with which to share this one!
