5400 Tasting Notes
i was rearranging teas this afternoon and realised that i’d mistakenly set this one aside in my box reserved for teas that i’m not allowed to go into until i finish up one that’s not in the box lol. Mostly i do it just because i don’t want my collection spilling out of the bookcase it’s in. Because of the way bags sit, sometimes i don’t have enough room for all of them to stand up, so into the box they go, which means they can pile up on top of one another haha.
I’ve missed this one and it was nice to have a cup tonight while we watched a few more fringe episodes…yay for tv time with my other half!
sipdown! since the last of this will be heading over to terri to try. Still not a fab of this one. it’s just kinda…well..boring? I steeped it for 4 mins and while that mafe the bergamot finally present in the steep it didn’t mesh all that well with the other tastes going on for me. aah well, can’t win them all!
mmmmmm lala made me drink it! I pulled this one out to try, after trading for a nearly full package of this from CHAroma. I have a softspot for orange creamsicle teas and continue to search for the perfect one. Boiling temp at 3 mins leaves this being a very nicely subtle orange creamy tea. There is some serious dryness in my mouth with this one though, that makes it not as much fun. I wonder if a lower steep temperature (maybe green ish) with a bit longer steep would change this around a bit. All that being said, it’s still a pretty tasty cup and i’ll have fun drinking the rest of it!
sipdown! (180!) not too shabby – only 30 teas away from my year end goal so i won’t complain…much. :) Thanks to missB for this one. my first taste of this was via kittenna and i only had a very small cup. tasting this again, i can see that it IS a tasty blend from frank. love the nutty chocolate tea taste i’m getting from this one. Happy to get to try it once again!
thank you missB Admittedly white and green teas are not often my thing. I find their tastes either beyond me or too vegetal for me to love. I picked this one today because a) it’s a quick sipdown and b) in my sickness i seem to be enjoying the lighter teas.
While i am a fan of this blend, it’s not one that i could drink all the time. This is a cherry tea, with the almond missing for me, but the spices being present in the background. I would enjoy this as an occasional cup in my cupboard for sure. Thanks missb!
thank you CHAroma! for sending a sample of this my way. Even being sick i risked drinking this one since i have a thing for franks pumpkin flavouring. I quite like this one. Not enough to feel the need to buy a whole bag for myself but it did reinforce that i still love the pumpkin flavouring that he has. Paired with the green base (not usually my preference), it’s got a nice creamy feel to it. Thanks CHAroma!
