4046 Tasting Notes
mmmmmm i realised the other night that i’ve been remiss about drinking up my custom blend! I’ve done a great job sharing it with everyone but haven’t had a cup of it in a while. So tonight, i did. Read a little of my book and drank a lovely cup of this before i need to head out to get my hair cut. It’s been about 8 months since my last hair cut and it’s starting to show! haha I always feel better after a hair cut so it’ll be nice to finally get rid of all the split ends. A bit late for a hair cut – it means i’ll be home fairly late, but it also means a head massage and some relaxing time on my own this evening. oh and tea…mustn’t forget to bring the tea with me! :)
thank you shmiracles for this one! I tried it hot brewed tonight before i’ll cold brew it just to see how it goes. This one has actual little freeze dried strawberries in it, which i think is what makes the blend so very truly strawberry. The down side? Not so much kiwi. There is a tangyness there that i interpret as the kiwi, but it’s not quiet kiwi. :) Still though, pleased with this one as the strawberry is very delicious. I’ll see how it fares as a cold brew to see if it will work as a summer brew :)
sipdown! (243) Farewell strawberry pie honeybush :) You were great while you lasted (through 2 bags i might add). Overall i’ve grown to dislike the strong presence of the cinnamon in this one, though it’s a great little tea. The strawberry is delicious, and the cinnamon does make it pie-like. I just prefer walter bishop strawberry over this one if i had my way. :)
thank you fiddling! I’m finally getting the chance to try this bagegd tea that she sent me. While the bag smelled pretty much like nothing, the tea brewed up into a rather tasty vanilla black tea. It’s a smooth vanilla black that, as far as bagged teas go, could compete with a number of vanilla blacks that i’ve tried out there. Overall i am happy with this tea!
Another one from terri! (sipdown) I feel like i’m in the home stretch with those, though i have apparently really neglected the awesome swaps i received from fiddling and shmiracles heh opened up my swap box to pull new ones out and there were a bunch.
This is a nice middle of the road sort of roasty oolong. there’s a woody feel to this one and it leaves me mouth a little dry but over all it’s pretty tasty. I do like that it’s not overly charcoal feeling and the aroma of the leaves is pretty pleasant.
Inspired by starfevre’s posting of this, i figured i might as well try the last of my sample of this one. While it’s a nice enough cup of tea, I very much prefer other oolongs, and am finding i need to be in the mood for darker oolongs. Nice enough to try, though not enough to keep in my cupboard. (sipdown!)
