4830 Tasting Notes
last tea of the evening and it’s a sipdown! Thus bringing my total at the end of the weekend to 220. 70 teas to drink up between now and black friday, ignoring the few swaps/samples that are on their way to me. 70 teas in 52 days. I can totally do this! While this tea is ok, it’s likely not a repurchase for me unless i need something to up my cart to free shipping or something. At the end of the day it’s really just a rooibosy ginger blend, and it’s less delicious than the blend from tao leaf tea that i like :) Thanks though Kaylee for sharing this one with me!
second last cup of the evening while watching some walking dead. I’ve got enough of this one for maybe another two cups and then it goes on the reorder list. I really like having this one around for low caffeine options. It’s also MUCH tastier than birthday cake from butiki imo as well heh. Love the peppermint and chocolate coming together with this one
I think perhaps, these Java Tea Co. teas are just not the tea for me. It’s not to much the tasting like coffee, since i do love a good coffee, but i just don’t like the way the flavours mesh together. Tastybrew sent this one my way, and while i don’t hate it, i don’t like it much and i’m trying not to keep teas around that i don’t like. So this is getting tossed in the swap box in case any of the girls here want to try it out. Maybe they’ll find a happy place with this one. Thanks though tastybrew! glad i got the chance to try all of these :)
I may have steeped this one at too high a temperature, but i still have some more to play with so that’s all good. This is another one from dinosara and it’s an interesting one. I’m not sure how i feel about it. I didn’t get much in the way of macaron from this, but i did get the raspberry flavouring, though it was more artificial than being close to real raspberries. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but i’m glad i have a little more to play with.
mmmmm… thank you dinosara I’ve been curious about this tea for a while now and she was kind enough to send some my way.
sheesh..stupid rogers interrupting my tasting note. Long story short, this tea appears to be one that lends itself to really coming together with a little sweetner and maybe some milk. I’ll let you know, since i opted to drink this cup on it’s own. I can sense the caramel in the background…not as present as i wanted it to be but i’ll try with some additions later!
sipdown! this was one from kaylee I opted to try this one since i should probably start drinking a few non caffeinated options now that it’s later in the day. As well, after locating a few teas in my cupboard that were actually gone – i’m super happy to say that i’m now back under where i started the weekend at before dinosara’s swap was added to my cupboard!
I quite like this one…it’s sweet, doesn’t taste overly like rooibos and it’s just a smooth tasting experience. Thanks kaylee!
SIPDOWN! the rest of this sample is in to the swap box for the girls here to try if they are so inclined the next time they come over. I’ve promised to hold back some of all my american tea room samples so in they go. I opted to try this one as a cold brew, and while it’s not a terrible tea, i’d rather have della terra’s lemon chiffon any day.
sipdown! this is a sweet and malty yunnan with a dash of fruity goodness thrown in to the mix. I like this one a lot – in fact many of the teas NofarS was kind enough to send to terri (who graciously saved me some) have been delicious and wonderful. I’m certainly glad to be able to cross them off my list of all the teas! :)
