4875 Tasting Notes
YYZ sent this one my way and i think, in reading other people’s notes why this one was not the tea for me – it’s like a darjeeling. And let’s be honest, those confuse my mouth :) the floral/fruity notes are not my preferred assam so this wasn’t a hit for me, but i’m glad to have tried it as this likely would have been one i would have been tempted to try myself heh. thanks a bunch YYZ!
VariaTEA sent this one my way and this is a tasty one! I like grape like flavoured teas so this is a nice one to have. Appreciate you sending this one my way. i mean, i guess wine doesn’t always taste like grapes even if they come from grapes…this is more like grape versus wine but i am A-OK with that! As cavo mentioned, as this cools it turns a little bitter, but nothing undrinkable..just better tasting hot! :)
Stacy sent this one my way as a sample in my most recent order. I’m glad she did, since it wouldn’t be something i would leap all over. This is neither a roasty sort of darjeeling OR a green sort. it’s somewhere in the middle of all of that. :) i’m getting lemon and…hay? and it’s overall really sort of juicy. there’s no astringency and there’s a bit of a sweetness here that is really nice. i’m intrigued by this tea. May need to look at getting more of this to play with unless it’s gone before i can order again heh. I recommend trying this one out EVEN if you aren’t normally a fan of darjeelings. I find most darjeelings a little hard to drink with a few expections here and there. For me, this falls in to the latter category and this doesn’t remind me of your typical darjeeling.
this was another from dexter I’ve reacently fallen out of love with Peach, which is funny because that’s the first “flavoured” tea i really gravitated towards. This particular peach isn’t bad. I like that it’s blended against a yellow tea, making it a little different than some of the others that i’ve had. That being said, while it’s a nice tea because i’m not in love with peach currently, it’s not a hit for me. HOWEVER, for those looking for a light peach tea, this one is pretty nice :)
Stacy sent along a sample of this one for me to try :)
this is an oolong, which is not usually my faouvite, so bear that in mind. This particular oolong is halfway between a green oolong and what i call a roasty oolong. :) there’s a efeling of “green” to this one but it’s not over powering, while on the other hand there is also a more bread/nut like taste? it’s also got a bit of a juicy feel to it, though not like say a dragonwell :) Ont the whole, this was quite nice, though i’d rather see it in a blend than drink it all by itself :) Worth checking out for those of you that like oolongs!
