6856 Tasting Notes
Another from Nicole Instead of following the instructions i all out brewed this western style to see how it would fare. I’ve only ever seen tie guan yin greens, so this was a new experiment for me. This kinda feels a little like an oolong but not quite. It doesn’t have that roasty oolong taste to it but it’s not exactly a strong black tea. The flavours are muted a little… interesting for sure, but nothing crazy exciting :) Loved trying it though!
last tea for the night. we pooped the dog out and he’s now sleeping half under the bed and half on the mat by my side of the bed. Works for me though ’cause he had me up all night last night. I had a cup of this while watching Longmire with the other half. so glad netflicks picked it up again.
Final Count: 127 (at least i might make my mini goal this weekend.. 150 to 120 over the long weekend…it could happen..i think i have enough sipdowns to get there)
I’ve had this one before as well and i am still enjoying it. I think this is closer to the bottom of the bag, so the spices are a little off this time around but the base of the tea makes up for that. Malty goodness blended in to a good chai. Just have to shake things up again so that the spices blend a little better. Still though, would love to be able to pick up all the teas i love in one order instead of having to place 5 orders just to get them all..
noms. Back for a cup, i still love this blend. It reminds me of parks department from bellocq but i’m not sure if that’s a reality or just my memory playing tricks on me. I’d pick this one up again in a heart beat from WP except that it drives me INSANE that any time i go to place an order there are maybe 2 teas in stock that i want, and if i have to pay shipping, it essentially means the teas are 5$ more – and that’s hard to justify. Just once i’d love to be able to place an order with all the teas in stock.
Delicious Nicole! I was super excited to see this one in the sampling you sent me. I do love my taiwanese blacks for that honey note that tends to run through them. This one isn’t quite the same as the one from Butiki but it’s still really nice. I’d be hard pressed to decide on whether i like this one better than the TTC blacks…honey, sweet…hint of maltiness. Just a great cup of yum!
