7165 Tasting Notes
sadly, i’m dropping the rating on this one a little because the harvest that i have in my cupboard at the moment is NOWHERE near the delicious tea that this one used to be. These days it seems to be falling a little flat, which makes me sad, though i am happy that yu lu has increased in the yum department, so i still have two great teas from verdant ni the black department that i love. Also goes to show that sometimes it’s worth trying different harvests :)
Another one from yesterday and man, it’s incredible how different this tea is from the first time i tried it and didn’t like it. NOW, i really enjoy it and i’m finding less enthusiasm for my zhu rong…which is sad because i’d really just love all three of the black teas i have from verdant lol
Upping the rating a little for this batch. delicious!
backlogging from yesterday. Love this one with a little cacao added to it when i want a more indulgent treat. :) I am nearly to the end of my supply…then, thankfully it’s on to the excess that terri gave me…which i’m lucky she did because even though i preordered, it’s delayed and so who knows when my precious will be back….contemplating another order already just in case haha
mmmmm pulled this one out of the cupboard tonight because after a month with no real tea drinking time, i want things that i enjoy in the evening. I still really enjoy this one, though it appears that the sweet spot this time around is at about 8 mins. I know with earlier batches it was 12 ish so maybe it’s because it’s fresh. Still loving this one as an evening substitute for vanilla citrus spice. Today was a good “work from home but not too much,” day since i’ve got to go to work tomorrow and friday.
a nice tasty cup of this tonight while watching a rare three episodes of GOT tonight with my other half. He doesn’t watch much tv so i’m lucky if we do two episodes in an evening! I think he’s feeling generous after not having me around for 6-7 wks lol
I really like this one, especially in the evening with a splash of honey. I much preferred this one over the other david’s herbal i had earlier. :)
if you’re going to drink one damn fine tea…you might as well drink a second! :) I am taking a few moments out of my day to try and plan a vacation in November. My other half can’t get away in October as he’s looking after our friend’s child M-F but November should be doable, and much needed after all the travelling i’ve had to do for work sept/oct.
I think there’s a little of the ginger from the last cup of tea that seeped in to this cup, so it’s not the best cup of tiger tea that i’ve had, but that’s on ME not the tea :)
mmm this is an interesting one. Nothing i need to restoack (Sorry David’s) but it will be fine to drink until i’m done my little sample. The mint in this one is refreshing, and the citrusy notes that go along with it are quite nice. A little honey added to this really brought the flavours together a little better. Nice for a cooler afternoon.
