7729 Tasting Notes
i still stand by my thoughts on this tea – get the oolong out and i’d love it. Today i decided to add a little something to this and added just a little vanilla powder AND a little vanilla sugar. Not too much sugar though, but wanted to see if it would add anything to the cup. Turns out? it does help smooth out the oolong taste that for me, is too present for me to really enjoy my cups of this a lot. yay for experimentation!
This was another from missB and a tasty treat tonight. VERY caramel with a side of apple. For a bagged tea, i’ll repeat what i said earlier…it’s pretty good. I just wish the bagged teas we have in Canada even came close to these.
Final Count: 71 yay for getting one down today.. WAY too many teas inbound and i’m still working through MissB’s teas that she sent…and those aren’t in my cupboard!
MissB sent this one my way. I’ve never heard of this company before her treats arrived so i brewed this up with no expectation of what to expect and didn’t look at what was even in it. First off, these are great little muslin tea bags. I’m a fan. Secondly…
OMG THE TEA! Another tasting note called this similar to an Earl Grey. If THIS was what all EG’s were like, i’d welcome EG’s in to my heart with open arms. But they’re not. I wouldn’t call this an EG myself – i don’t get that awful blergamot taste. Instead this is a seriously deliciate citrus, spice tea with what appears to be vanilla (according to the website) that makes it just a deliciously smooth amazing cup of tea. So much so that i resteeped the tea bag a second time because i didn’t want it to be finished. drool.
Now i have ANOTHER company on my list to try that i have no access to. le sigh thank you so much MissB!!
this is another from MissB that i had forgotten that i’d tried before. However, at least i can say that my feelings on the tea haven’t changed haha. This is a really tasty vnilla tea that has a bit of that cookie like feel to it. I’m not a HUGE fan of the base, but it works with this particular combination so ha! :) thanks missb!
Final tea of the evening because i am beat. Didn’t get anywhere with sipdowns today but given that i have a veritable mess of teas in my house from MissB, i’m ok with that lol instead i tried a few of those teas, so that i can divy them up faster and get them out to friends heh. Still loving this tea…. thank you again omgsrsly for the introduction.
Final Count: 72
Another from missB honestly, so very generous and i’m really looking forward to sharing these teas with the tea gals (and guys!). Super exciting to get packages in the mail from her travels and a great tea journey for trying new things. Makes me even more excited for someday getting out there with my other half…once my cupboard is mostly empty and in need of restocks lol I half expected this tea to be similar to David’s TEas apple custard thing..but this one doesn’t have that weird after taste and the apple is much more baked goods like lol thanks for the share again MissB!
another from missB and though it’s a green, i figured why not! seriously though…SO good. I really love this tea…there’s an almost fruity? smell to the bag but once brewed, it’s a lovely gingerbread tea… and honestly, if our bagged tea in canada were more like these…i’d be all over them more often.. :)
woot! tea from MissB i wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this one being as it’s a green tea…but this is great. It really is a deliciously yummy caramel tea – i don’t get much of the green tea base, other than the fact that it’s lighter than a black caramel tea in terms of the depth? of the tea…but i’m ok with that. These are great bagged teas and give me much hope for the toffee bags that were also in the care package missb sent over! :)
