7482 Tasting Notes
steepster is frustrating me again. Seems like every evening it starts running in to problems loading things and behaves all wonky. this was the case last night when i was trying to update my cupboard. tonight it’s still giving me grief….which doesn’t bode well for me when i know i’m going to be up all night.
this particular tea is really tasty. I’m for sure getting a better cheesecake/plum flavour balance than the irish cream one from a while back. the plum for me on this one is subtle and comes across after the cheesecake taste. delicious!
hmmmmm not sure how i feel about this one. It’s mostly just not appley enough for me. even though it’s an oolong, i DO enjoy this one a bunch, but it’s more caramel oolong to me than anything even sort of apple like…which is funny given some of the other reviews that mention no caramel :) Still enjoying it but may have to play with it a little and/or not drink it out of my crappy travel mugs haha
I tried this one from stacy today as well, mostly so that i could decide on whether or not i want more of the newer version of this one in my next order. At first glance this is much more hazelnut and butterscotch than it is mocha. I do love the white rhino base though…so sad i wasn’t able to get my first stupid package. I think this one needs to be tried out of a travel mug to be fully appreciated, so i reserve judgement until then :)
So…there’s a small part of me that wants to just log this and keep on moving because a) this is the first review and b) i don’t want any of you getting ideas before i get a chance to pick up more! lol I had a little mishap with the first package stacy sent me…read that as some postal worker somewhere has MY TEA! but the second one arrived safe and sound. This tea was totally worth the wait. It’s quite a unique tea, and one that was a great start tot my day today. I wholeheartedly agree with all of stacy’s comments on this one…honey, stone fruit, rye… just a really smooth, delicious tea. I’m really going to miss her straight Taiwanese teas :(
