4923 Tasting Notes
sipdown! i’m running behind with my tasting notes…“early” night testing for work and now i have additional testing to do. I’ve been drinking a bunch of teas this morning but i haven’t had a second to start logging them. this was one of my earliest teas. An assam that is bold, malty but also fruity and sweet.
I finally thought to check out the company website again while drinking this. I’m sad to say that it looks like they’ve shut the doors and are no longer in business. It makes me a little sad since i was certainly a fan of their tim finnegan’s wake up tea and was considering purchasing more. ah well. Cheers to you cuppa crew! hopefully you’re doing some great somewhere else!
sipdown! i really need to try the other teas from justea as i have enjoyed this one. It doesn’t top my list of blacks, but it is a solid cup of black. a little astringency but nothing that makes it undrinkable. mmmmm nice afternoon tea before dinner time. though i should probably stuop with the caffeine given that i need to go to sleep and then get up again at 3:30am for testing heh
FInally getting around to try this one from when i was in china. This isn’t a bad rooibos, though the strawberry is slightly artificial tasting. It’s not as creamy as i’d love it to be, but still, this is leaning towards being similar to walter bishop but with rooibos. Too bad this wasn’t honeybush!
thanks kaylee! This is one from my swap with kaylee and one i was excited for. I’m always looking for caffeine free blends for days when caffeine seems to be bothering me. This isn’t a bad brew but i’m not sure it’s really gingersnap cookie to me. I do like the ginger flavouring, so i may play with this one similar to what kaylee tried and add some sugar and milk. Over all though, a nice ginger cup of tea :)
