sipdown! the first time i had this, i forgot to log it. This time, because of my unfortunate experience brewing this with water, i tried it with milk. Sorry to say but this is not so much a chai to me and mostly a mix of cloves…and more cloves and oh hey, some cloves :) The tea disappears with this particular blend and even after trying to pull out a bit of the cloves, it still is too much for me. Thanks for the share though Alice! It’s helping me figure out what my perfect chai might be like :)
Tastybrew sent this our way in the BBB Box. Since i may want to place another order with Yezi in a couple of days, I figured i’d better try a few more of their offerings so i can place a larger order.
This is a fruity, almost peachy tea. The aroma has a hint of spice to it, though the tea itself does not. There is maltiness to this brew…along with hints of cocoa that blend with the fruitiness. Overall a really nice tea!
Working from home today to give myself a bit of a break. Still far too many things to finish up this week to warrant an actual day off, but at least this way i get to hang out in my pj’s drinking tea and working. Plus the time i save from not having to travel, i can use to watch a bit of TV haha
I picked this one for my first tea this morning because i had it a couple days ago but hadn’t had a chance to actually get some thoughts down about it.
This is a chocolately, malty brew. It’s neither bitter, nor smokey. My only “complaint” is that it feels thin? still delicious and tasty but i keep wanting it to be more full in my mouth. I’ll likely pick this one up once i’m done with the amount that Tastybrew sent to me :)
Edit: 3000 tasting notes!
sipdown! even if it is a fake sort of sipdown, as i’m sending the other half of the sample terri sent me to FuzzyP :) The worst part of today? this review has been sitting open for hours and i can’t even focus enough to write it. Long story short this is a really tasty tea, though i think it’s a little too different for me to keep around always. if that makes sense. it’s fruity, but in a specific sort of peach grape way, as tastybrew said, rather than that generic “fruity” taste i get. thanks for sharing terri! this one’s neat!
mmmmm took a bath and had this one with me. Pretty sure it was steeped the entire time i was drinking it and it’s no worse for wear. I’m a fan of teabags/herbals that let you do that since sometimes you just can’t be bothered fishing teabags out, or dealing with loose tea on the go. Still really enjoying this one as a substitute for making actual apple cider.
mmmm i had this earlier in the day but forgot to log it. Took it with me on my afternoon walk with my other half. We won’t get much time to spend together over the next couple of days – he’s got a staff meeting tonight, and then tomorrow i’ve got a work function to go to, while he’s at dodgeball so really, we won’t be hanging out until tuesday dinner, before he’s off to raid for the evening. heh
I will be sad when this one is gone if only because i am a fan of the smoothness mixed in with the smoke and a little maple syrup :)
Thanks Dexter! So strangely enough…even though the muscatel in this one is like HEY LOOK AT ME! I am enjoying this one. I don’t typically really enjoy darjeelings, but the next thing i knew, i was at the bottom of this mug going ..oopsy….i drank it all? There’s something in the smoothness of this one that just makes it easy to drink and rather enjoyable. Not something i’d pick myself, but i’m glad that they sent this along to dexter as a free sample so i got to try it!
Edit: 140! go me! woot woot!
