sipdown! (though that’s nearly the last of them for tonight). This tea? It pretty much makes me want to make some ginger chicken or something. This is not something i want to drink, i want to eat it! so um yeah. it’s not bad..but i feel like it’s something i should be cooking with instead heh

I like to drink ginger tea when I’m sick with any kind of respiratory problem. I also like to drink ginger tea when my guts are unhappy. I also just like to drink it, because I love ginger, heh. ;)

Another non sipdown tea that I cheated with today and brewed western style. Initial impressions of this one are that I will quite enjoy it, moreso than the other that I tried today. Theres something in hath notes of this one that I’m looking for ward to exploring.

This isn’t asipdown and my head is not happy with me today….worried I’m getting sick. I cheated today and opted to trythiswith a simple western brew mostly just to get a sense of how I might feel about the tea when is I t down todo a proper gong fu session. Verdict? I think ill like this one. It’s got an earthy quality about it, more similar to a darker tea than a roasty oolong. More to come in the future.

Terri HarpLady

No, you can’t get sick! No no no no no!! I’m sending you Reiki, & hopefully you’ll feel better. Rest!!

I forgot that i took this one out and about with me today. Only today, I added a bit of yunnan gold to this while it was brewing to see if that would add a bit of depth to it without losing the sweet apple goodness that i like about this one. It worked, though sometimes i would prefer the sweet unmodified version of this. I actually think it might be interesting to brew this with maybe tiger assam and see what happens :)

Sipdown! i like this one quite a bit. it’s plumy with a bit of spiciness to it but not overly so. Theres a sweetness to this and a bit of tartness at the same time. I am digging this one!

sipdown! so i’ve been really off of “peach” flavoured teas lately but terri sent this my way so of course it had to be tried since i must try ALL THE TEA. Suprisingly enough, this is really tasty. It’s not fuzzy peach flavoured peach – it’s much closer to being more like a real juicy peach. As many of you know…i HATE jasmine…but in this, i’m really not detecting any unless somehow it’s responsible for mellowing out the peach flavour. over all, quite pleased with this one even if it would never be a cupboard staple. Nice to have a peach tea i’m not sick of.

drank Pomegranate Sunrise by The Tea Merchant

sipdown! thus putting me a whole tea ahead of my tea sister..lol this is another one that terri shared with me and it’s a decent enough ftuity green tea. I kept the temperature low, so there’s no bitterness to the cup. It’s close to pomegranate, but still not there. Overall, not a bad tea though, and if i were more into green teas i think i’d enjoy this one a bunch – especially as a cold tea, sweetened slightly.

soooo the best part about this sipdown, though it won’t count in our contest (i’m removing it but adding a different tea into my cupboard from the tea i’m picking up today) is that i’m sending it back to terri haha. I really didn’t care for this, and from her tasting note she was only sending it this way because i’d wanted a try. So back it goes to her and it’s a sipdown for me…but not lol

Cavocorax

I thought you guys weren’t adding teas to your cupboard?

Terri HarpLady

Go ahead & count it! We’ll just do a trade off…I’m sure I’ve got something here that I can do the same with!
No adding teas to your cupboard until monday!

Terri HarpLady

Wow! You’ve got 22 sipdowns already! I guess I’d better get a move on, eh?

Sil

Haha yeah but I’m out running errands for a few while I wait for work to call me back

Sil

Cavo – we weren’t. But one of my rules was that a sip down didn’t count if it was being tossed in a swap box. (Mostly since I’m packing up 7? At the moment lol)

drank Earl Grey Cream by Georgia Tea Company

sipdown! another sample from terri. When i brewed this one up, i didn’t realise it had coconut in it. I’m not so much a fan of coconut, with a few exceptions. the result for me? a tea that really doesn’t taste like any other earl grey creams that i’ve tried (keep in mind they’re not my favourite blend of tea) and an overall not so pleasant experience. It’s not quite a “let me spit this out please” but i, who is not an earl grey lover, would rather drink any of the others i’ve tried previously than drink this one again. Plus the oily film makes me not love it anymore.

I didn’t think that i’d like this one, since in my head i was equating it with verdant’s silver buds yabao. I’ve been drinking this one to relax from the work that i’ve been called in to focus on today. I’m supposed to be be having a FUN weekend and yet now i’m troubleshooting issues. What fun! I guess i shouldn’t complain too much though, since the past two weeks have almost been normal work weeks. crazy!

I promise to write a better review at some point in the future (no this isn’t a sipdown terri..i just needed to get around to trying some of my reserve teas!) but for now, this is a sweet, delicious tea that i’m enjoying the sun with.

Terri HarpLady

I hope you were able to bring some sipdown samples to work with you!

Sil

Heh work can be done from home…so I’m golden lol

Terri HarpLady

Awesome! :)

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
