I think i’m going to need to try this one as a cold brew. It wasn’t bad as a hot brew but I’m not sure that i was in the mood for a citrusy sort of green tea. I have a few more tea bags to try out so i’m hoping it will grow on me. It’s better than the other tea i had this afternoon but eesh…
1780 Tasting Notes
SIPDOWN! This one is interesting. I probably should have started with the regular version of this before the vanilla one but you only live once! :) This isn’t a bad tea but there’s a weird taste going on that i don’t like. I have a feeling that if this was just cacao, then i’d likely enjoy it a bit more. We’ll see, as i have both the mint and the regular version from my swap this weekend.
I figured that I’d try this one hot to start and then go with a cold brewing later. This is from the lupicia bag that Kittenna and i split, and let me tell you, thank god we did! Sooooo much tea!
This one is bright green and grassy in appearance when it’s dry.
Love it when steepster eats half my tasting note. Will edit later with tea notes.
EDIT: I WISH this tasted like it smells. The aroma of the brewed tea is wonderful and delicious and omg i just want to crawl into the tea and go for a swim. However the taste? Not so much. I would rather drink Stacy’s Grapefruit dragon any day. This one has a bitter taste to it.
I will be brewing this as a cold drink to see how that improves the tasteor doesn’t. :)
mmmmm I can get behind this tea. This is the kind of marshmallowey goodness that I quite enjoy. I like the way that the caramel and marshmallow blend together. As always, i could do without the sprinkles, since i don’t find they they add much to the tea besides a glistening sheen on the top of the tea, but i can like with it. I for sure can get behind drinking this again as a dessert tea treat.
A cup of tea to help wake me up this morning. I needed something black to help get me going this morning since this weekend was a bit of a whirlwind with the tea ladies coming over and a work friend staying over for the entire weekend. A fantastic weekend but it made for a few late nights so i’m suffering a little this morning. Almost out of this one but there are a few more cups left. Have to make room for more stacy teas!
mmmm morning smoothie today. Glad to be back and in business with matcha! I’ve got too much in my cupboard and I’m already looking for my next order in April haha
Sip down! Had a few cups of this tonight with Sharon. Thanks to kittenna for letting me try a bit of this. While I find its a great lemon lime tea, there is not so much of the cheesecake flavour happening here. Slightly disappointing, but because it IS a nice lemon-lime tea, its hard to be upset with it lol
Mmmm finally getting a chance to try this one as we opened and split our joint orders yesterday. It tastes ALOT like frank’s strawberry pie honey bush only slightly creamier. I’m not quite getting milkshake but it IS a delicious blend.
Sip down!
I am really enjoying this. I actually like this better than 52 teas marshmallow genmaicha, likely because of the increased caramel goodness in it. I actually think that I’d like to have a small quantity of this in my cupboard permanently. I think kittenna might be right though, in that the black tea doesn’t add much to the blend though.
Thank you Nina’s Paris for these samples!
I’m not sure this one is the tea for me. I really like the way the black base is blending with the flavours, but I’m getting more of an orange cherry than being able to pick up the strawberry as well. The result is a strangely weird citrusy bolder black tea. The strawberry is lingering in the after taste the more I drink this one. Not one I’d purchase, but I’d never turn down a cup. :)
Also…sip down! Lol
I think I’m finally getting tired of this blend, it appears 2oz is a bit much for me to drink my way through before I am done with drinking a blend from della terra. However, this is a nice blend and is one of my happy teas from della terra, given that I don’t love a lot of them. They’re decent average teas though, with this one being one of my higher rated teas :)
Sip down! Yay!
Thanks again to Ysaurella for this swap! I still don’t catch the marzipan flavours that others have – maybe my taste buds are broken :) but this is a delicious tea and one that I quite enjoyed.
SIPDOWN!
I cold brewed the last of this sample from Ysaurella the other day and I can say that this is a MUCH better tea cold brewed. It becomes a lot less floral and the blending of the green tea just works out better. Glad i got to try this one cold brewed.
SIPDOWN! oh yeah…need 160 more of those… lol
Yesterday’s adventures were a rousing success and lots of fun but now my cupboard is over 310 teas…so uh i need to get my drink on especially since there are a couple of swaps on their way as well. FML. hahah talk about first world problems.
Really enjoyed this one, though i DO prefer the majesties version.

Soooo this is my official sip down log for this tea since I pawned the last of it on to kittenna today. Likely not a repurchase for me unless I try it with delicate flavouring, it’s just too artificial.
….had this earlier today. No time for tasting notes. Tastes nothing like the description….
Tea party time has increased my cupboard from 175 teas to 266 and counting….. Damnit. Lol

I had this in the afternoon. This tastes like a green caramel but slightly more citrusy. Problem is that I got distracted and so all I remember was that it was tasty. So ill be having this again to get a proper note on it. :)
Getting close to the end of my bag, though it’s not THAT close to a sipdown. Also, it’ll be a re-order so really no point to calling this a sipdown ever hahaha. Mostly i’m just excited! Tea time with the girls tomorrow (with board games) AND a work friend is staying over tonight to join our tea time. Not to mention that I managed to find 3 pixar blu-rays over lunch at the used store so YAY for finally having a complete collection (though i still need to upgrade a few dvd’s to blu-ray) heh
Hmmmm my preferences run to black teas instead of green. That being said, this isn’t a terrible tea. It’s a little perfumey for me, but it’s not a terrible tea. As i’ve come to see, marriage blends their teas very well so that you get both the flavours and the tea base. Would i purchase this for myself? No, but only because I am not overly a fan of floral/perfumey type green teas.
Thank you Ysaurella for sharing this with me! :)
Another morning smoothie. Having more of my friends matcha though i’m not sure how i’m going to get through all of this. I have 6 flavours from her that i like to finish and then there are maybe another 7 flavours unopened in my cupboard haha. Good thing i love my matcha smoothies and lattes!
