6066 Tasting Notes
Sample included in one of my past YS orders. I enjoyed this one, though it doesn’t call out to me like others. This is a good puerh for folks who don’t want something overly intense but still offers some varying notes in it. There was almost the hint of smoke in this one…but i would never call this a smoky tea, if that makes sense. another smooth tasting tea and enjoyable earlier this morning.
a raw puerh that i can get behind. I picked up a sample of this with my last order from Mandala based on some of the reviews here. I’m happy to report that this one doesn’t disappoint. While it’s a little vegetal as raw are to me, there is also very much a sweetness here as well as a stone fruit sort of taste..like apricots but not quite apricots. there’s a litle bitterness with this one, but keeping the temperatures cooler helped to even that out for me. Not something i need to keep in my cupboard because it’s not something i see myself gravitating towards BUT i’m glad i have a few more sessions with it as i’ll enjoy them quite a bit on those times i Do want a raw.
this was another i ran through today. YAY for a great day of actually getting to spend time with my puerh. I’m hoping to get one of these in every week if i can work from home at least one day a week and get in to a routine. This was another that i thoroughly enjoyed and didn’t come from dexter haha. I agree with allank that this was heavy on the fermentation but it was a smooth dark delicious cup every time. Sadly this was finished up earlier this afternoon so all i remember is being super glad that it went on for a while haha.

Another sample from Dexter today. I have a large number of samples from her and companies to get through. This one is more towards the green side than dark side, as i’ve come to expect with raw puerhs. However, this isn’t overly green and vegetal . There’s a slightly smoky scent to this one, though over the course of a few steeps, it’s really only a slight smoke taste – nothing too strong. There is no bitterness to this one that i noticed, just a generally smooth brew, heavier than some but sort of middle of the road in terms of strength.
Thanks for letting me try this one dexter!
woooooo! Another puerh from dexter I’m working from home today so i’m going to try and spend some time with a few of the raw puerhs that i have started to accumulate in my cupboard. I generally prefer ripe…so i need to focus on exploring more raw to figure out what i love.
First steep: holy mother this smells like when you pull carrots out of wet gardens. Sipping on this, i’m getting leather, mushroom notes…but there’s a sweetness hiding in the background. Really interesting…more to come.
Later steeps, this never stops reminding me of the garden but i wouldn’t call the steeps overly earthy. there’s just something about drinking them that reminds me of that fresh from the garden memory. Really enjoyed this one today.
This was my last tea yesterday and while dexter was awesome enough to send me two of these little guys, I will be giving the other to Cavo since i think this might be one she’d really enjoy. I know i’m likely going to order this one next time i place a CS order because it was such an enjoyable drink last night. So much so that i forgot to even take notes hahaha. I didn’t get the warming sensation that the others did with this one but it did result in a much relaxed Sil last night. Thanks so much for sharing this one Dexter

Not my favourite of stacy’s last batch of teas BUT i had this one yesterday with just a tiny bit of rock sugar and it was much improved. I don’t generally add sugar to my teas (or anything for that matter) but with this one, it made it much creamier and tastier – helping to smooth out the rhubarb notes.
